GUILTY UK - Paige Doherty, 15, Clydebank, 19 March 2016

Very odd that they threw in a picture of the stepdad. Is anyone else feeling like LE might be throwing out some breadcrumbs through the media.
I was thinking that too! I don't think we can jump to conclusions (people did that with Becky Watts and her Dad initially and were very wrong) but I did wonder if it were a 'don't suppose you saw this guy in the area huh huh?' ... Stepfather does have a lovely photo of the 2 together on his Social media.

It's not a road you can just pull over on, anyone stopped on it would draw attention and people would probably pull over to assist assuming it's a car broken down. I also think that if the person who left Paige there was driving they would have chosen to leave her in one of the many more remote/quite places within such short distance from there.

It looks like you can reach the area in a car from the golf range car park, assuming the gravel/sand is no longer there.

But it does seem odd to be in such a populated area if the perpetrator used a car.

I wondered about the pic of step dad too until others pointed out the picture of Paige and her mom directly above so I'm edging towards the press just throwing in the standard "here's the family" photos

Also, if you use the Street View feature on Google Maps you can see an area next to the road where a person could pull up in their car, off of the actual road itself, and drag a body to the path where Paige was found - see this link: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@55.9...4!1s8z2pcSUMLMP8cnuEhxrCQQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Have just been looking at googlemaps

The A82 going eastwards goes past a place called Moodiesburn.
I believe ( although I stand to be corrected by our local experts ) there is a bus service from here to Kirkintilloch ( 20 minute journey ).

So, perhaps someone offered Paige a lift in that direction - save her the trouble of having to get a bus into Glasgow and then another one out to Kirkintilloch.

Alyce I'm inclined to think that she got in someone's car and that certainly would give a reason why.

My mistake, I thought Paige was found further to the left than shown on that map. There is a high fence that runs along the left of the path that follows the gravel pile and I was sure the forensic tent was on the other side of this.

I don't think the person would have pulled over on Great Western Road and dumped her, it looks like there is a retail park (is it the golf place?) with a road going into it and they could have driven down there to do the deed.

A half hour drive and she would probably never have been found. Maybe they were panicked and not thinking logically.

BIB and maybe the person was in a hurry, had to be somewhere at a certain time so no option to drive further away.

Alyce you are right, there is a 178 bus that goes from Moodiesburn to Kirkintilloch and it takes no more than half an hour.

This article has 3 photos of stepfather, 2 being of him alone ... just struck me as odd.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art... alone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought the same. A picture of her & her mother (still shocked that that's her mum, I thought they were friends at first glance until I read the caption). A picture of Paige & her step dad & 2 of the step dad alone.

Fair doos. ..there was only a pic of her with mom and one of step dad earlier when I looked..may still not mean anything but certainly makes you hmmm

Ok I am starting to go "hmmm" too

Is there any word from the police about whether there is a public safety concern (aka killer on the loose) or not? That's usually a pretty good indication of something

Not that I've read CMC, no. Maybe that is an indication. My mind is doing flip-flops at the moment, I have a scenario in my head but for some reason am unsure about posting it here because "once you hit reply it's on the internet forever" :silenced:

Okay I really need to learn to start reading the captions underneath the pictures on the articles! [emoji51] her mum looks so young & Similar looking to Paige, I actually thought it was a picture of Paige & her step father as the article was all about Paige.

Also in the daily mail article, apparently trolls had set up a fake facebook profile in the name of Paige. It's sickening. As if the family aren't going through enough..

Why the pictures of the step dad alone? Could be nothing but it just strikes me as really weird. Jmo. What's everyone else's thoughts on this?
