GUILTY UK - Paige Doherty, 15, Clydebank, 19 March 2016

  • #241
Okay.. had a Lil look on my good friend G maps...doesn't look as though there is any back access to the shop really so exit would have to be via the front. I know that there is parking directly outside but given the housing opposite and that it's a fairly busy area I can't see a dead/unconscious body being put into a vehicle in broad daylight so perhaps a lift was offered. Would be interesting to know how familiar Paige was with the owner/if she was a regular etc

Very true. See it all too often on here.

As have i.. It's a shame really.

Why the multiple stab wounds though? I think they mentioned that's how she was killed. Such a horrible way to die!! Sounds too personal & crazy [emoji20] how well did they actually know each other? Was that the first time she actually went in his shop? Usually only going in Ashy's? The way ashy said it was, she was in his shop the week before but on that particular Saturday that she sadly went missing & murdered ([emoji20][emoji21]) , she went in to johnnys to get one. Too coincidental she went there for a change & ended up missing & murdered? [emoji21] i Haven't had time to read every post/article yet. Will try & catch up so I apologise if this has already been answered/covered x

why did Paige visit HIS shop that day and not Ahmed's shop? And if Johnny closed up that morning, looks like he offered her a lift.

The other shop owner said Paige and her friend were often in his foodstore, so possibly she also frequented the Deli

I also want to know this. Why his shop that particular Saturday, then the poor girl ends up murdered?

I also have a few theories but I better keep tight lipped. Been burnt before jumping the gun.

Just been on deli owners personal FB page and he has a daughter named Paige also, yet she looks younger than our Paige.

STV news this second showing the delicious deli shop and the interview with Mr Ahmed. He does say he seen her wave go into shop and never seen her again but she wouldn't have to walk back past his shop to the bus-stop. The police appealing for information or if any1 acting suspicious on Saturday and anyone acting suspicious in the Clydebank area on Monday. Crucial information needed etc. Police are working around the clock and WILL find her killer (I have no doubt about it)

NO mention of the ongoing situ going on tonight. I will stay up for the 11pm Scottish news, may have more details on that.

Yes if heading in North Elgin St direction for bus stop she would not have had to pass by Ashys shop. He also said he was outside collecting rolls of I recall so probably went back into his shop and wouldn't have thought much of not seeing Paige again.

And by some strange coincidence the guys daughter is also called Paige. I don't want to speculate whether he is guilty or not I've got a couple of theories, I'm waiting for the next police statement to see what's released. Hopefully we won't need to wait long for it.

Perhaps he was a lil obsessed with her?

Just 2 quick things to add.

IF it's the Delicious Deli guy - Paige gave the shop a 5*review on the shops facebook account back in 2014.

Also, in response to whoever said something along the lines of 'young successful family man, gorgeous wife, young baby' - I say 2 words - Adam Johnson.

Nice spot on the review!

Id also like to know how familiar Paige was with the owner & how often she visited his shop. Seems so crazy & personal to multiply stab a young girl. Especially if it was the first time she ever visited his deli. Saying that, with the stuff i read on this forum, nothing really shocks or surprises me any more.

Only now does it become strange that it was Mr Ahmed whom spoke of Paige there at that time yet she wasn't even in his shop but yet there was no interview or word from the deli shop itself. Surely if it was the last place to be in that would be the obvious place to start asking for information.

Our police force really is amazing. They know what they are doing, and what to filter to the general public and not.

I do wonder if they knew eachother, intimately or what not. I don't know, something is niggling me. Did she threaten to tell all to his wife etc. Who knows, multiple stabbing seems so vicious and personal.

Sorry but has anything been confirmed about multiple stab wounds? I have definately missed it thanks x

I agree. I had a thought that something Was going on. Maybe he wanted to end it (because of the young baby?) and she threatened to tell his partner. Or even she wanted to end it and he wasn't having any of it.

I also agree. I said that above!.the multiple stabbing seems too personal & crazy to me! Must be more to it than her just walking in for a roll, then she ends up missing, & found murdered..

I think there may be some confusion over the shops and which ones Paige would have frequently visited so I just wanted to point out that Ashys shop and the Delicious Deli are entirely different as Ashys is not a food serving place just a grocery shop. When it is said that Ashy was collecting rolls from outside, these rolls are sold as they are not with fillings. They are delivered to shops freshly each day and most small convenience stores do this. Therefore Paige would have probably visited Ashys shop for the likes of chewing gum, newspaper, sweets whereas she would visit the Deli for takeaway food. Hope this is not stating the obvious but I felt there was some confusion as to why she hadn't went to Ashys that morning and I think it may be because she didn't need anything from his shop and just wanted food on that occasion.

Yep the stabbing part is what's confusing me. Also the timing..

If he offered to give her a lift, tried it on, got rebuffed etc I would have thought strangulation would be cod.

Stabbing implies to me that it was planned, in part. After all who just happens to have a knife in their car to hand.

Given the fact that Paige entered and shop shut fairly soon around that time also implies that whatever happened was pre planned. If her offered her a lift it was a pretty quick convo from "good morning can I have"... to "jump in my car I'll give you a lift". Similarly if something happened in the shop it must have been literally within minutes of her entering.

Makes you wonder whether a lift was prearranged between the two for whatever reason.

But then I'm guessing her body must have been dumped pretty soon...unless there's property we are yet to learn about
