GUILTY UK - Paige Doherty, 15, Clydebank, 19 March 2016

  • #261
“I cannot rule out a sexual element to the attack. That’s why we need as many people as possible with any information to come forward.”

Although the cause of death has not yet been confirmed, a source for the Scottish Sun suggested the ten had been stabbed, saying: "Her death was violent."

Yep the stabbing part is what's confusing me. Also the timing..

If he offered to give her a lift, tried it on, got rebuffed etc I would have thought strangulation would be cod.

Stabbing implies to me that it was planned, in part. After all who just happens to have a knife in their car to hand.

Given the fact that Paige entered and shop shut fairly soon around that time also implies that whatever happened was pre planned. If her offered her a lift it was a pretty quick convo from "good morning can I have"... to "jump in my car I'll give you a lift". Similarly if something happened in the shop it must have been literally within minutes of her entering.

Makes you wonder whether a lift was prearranged between the two for whatever reason.

But then I'm guessing her body must have been dumped pretty soon...unless there's property we are yet to learn about

I agree with everything you have said there. I Couldn't have worded it any better!

Could he have possibly taken a knife from his shop to use? Maybe there was a brief talk in the shop about where she was going after, & he offered her a lift there?

Possibly, it's a good idea. The mentality behind it just boggles my mind

I also want to know this. Why his shop that particular Saturday, then the poor girl ends up murdered?

If they often went in those shops, I wondered if she'd prearranged a lift from him the previous day/night but then I guess she'd have told her friend that.
He seems to like motorbikes so wondered if he might have promised her a lift on the back of his bike (I was going to say and then an accident occured but if the cause of death is rumoured to be stab wounds that wouldn't fit)

Still finding it really hard to get my head around how innocently walking into a shop in broad daylight on a housing estate(something we all do all the time) can end in murder.

The sighting from the neighboring shop, was very important and the key to this investigation. Thank god!

Shopkeeper Ashy Ahmed, who runs the Fleming Foodstore on Fleming Avenue, said he saw her at 8.15 am, when she was buying a roll and sausage from the Delicious Deli next door shop.

He said: “I was doing my rolls, as I always do, so I know the time was quite accurate.

“Paige came walking past, right by the door and I waved at her and she put her hand up to wave back.

“She had been in the week before and bought a roll but on Saturday she went into Johnny’s next door to get one.

“I spoke to him later and he said she was cheery and bright, just the way she always is.

“She is a lovely girl and you would never get any bother from her.

Quoting my own post.

Ashy said he spoke to johnny "later" and he said she was cheery and bright.

When was "later?" Later that Saturday?

Plenty of cash and carry outlets that I bet are visited often by people working in that Deli just a few miles from the hairdressers Paige was making her way to, just a thought.

I'm sure somewhere on this thread someone posted a crane, supposedly "lit up in pink" for Paige. Well I've just noticed the same picture posted on JL's fb page on 17th. He also updated his photos yesterday, one of his baby, one of motorbikes.

He may have followed her and offered her a lift to the bus stop saying he would be passing. She may have trusted him :(

That was me who posted about the crane lit up in pink [emoji87]

I saw on Fb they do deliveries but just noticed it says 'weekend deliveries' which I assume would also mean Sundays. What about other staff surely not just him in himself at that time I wouldnt have thought for food prep etc??

I know we can't sleuth minors. So I haven't. But he noticed that the friend who Paige stayed with the night before her disappearance made a large number of info appeals over the weekend. In one of them she stated they both left for work and that was the last time she heard/saw her. Would be interesting to know where exactly they parted company and if her friend knew she was going to the deli

Or later that day if Ashy spoke to him?

Since they have the tent erected at the shop, I'm guessing it was done there... and
there'll be evidence in the car/Van he transported her in.

The crane that will be lit up pink tomorrow night in memory of Paige is a local landmark. It's often lit up different colours for different reasons. I haven't seen the picture being spoke about on JL'S facebook but it is a picture shared and posted often by locals.

Yeah it is just another strange coincidence tbh.
