We are appealing for motorists with dashboard mounted camera footage to come forward as part of our search to find missing Padiham man Peter Beason.

Peter, 58, went missing from the Station Road area on March 22.

He was seen at around 11.10am at Tesco in Padiham on the same day (pictured).

FollowIng CCTV enquiries, it is now known Peter was seen around 5.07pm on March 23 walking from the medical centre car park in Station Road with an umbrella in his right hand. He walked to the end of Station Road and turned right onto Burnley Road.

Around 5.26pm on the same day he was seen carrying a box in his right hand, as well as an umbrella. He walked across the front of the fire station and crossed Station Road before the bridge.

Peter is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with brown and grey shoulder-length hair. Peter was wearing jeans, a fleece and a blue waterproof jacket with a hood. He may have been carrying a red rucksack.

Peter has links to Burnley and Padiham.

PC Mike Spencer, of Burnley Police, said: “Peter has been missing now for some time and we are really concerned for his welfare.

“We are really keen to trace any motorists driving on Station Road on March 23, between 5.05pm and 5.30pm. Did you see Peter? Do you have dashcam footage which could help us?

“Anything, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could be crucial to helping us find him.

“If anyone has any information, please call 101 or email [email protected] quoting log 0511 of March 26.”

Police are 'really concerned' for the welfare of a missing Padiham man that has not been seen for almost two weeks.

It comes as they renew their appeal to find Peter Beason by asking for people with dashcam footage to come forward. Peter hasn't been seen since March 22 after being spotted on Station Road.

#MISSING | We are continuing to appeal for information about Peter Beason, 58, who has now been missing from home for a month.

Peter (pictured), from Padiham, went missing from the Station Road area on March 22nd. He was seen at around 11.10am that day at Tesco in Padiham.

Following CCTV enquiries Peter was seen again on March 23rd at around 5pm walking from the medical centre car park in Station Road with an umbrella in his right hand. He walked to the end of Station Road and turned right onto Burnley Road. Around 5.26pm on the same day he was seen walking across the front of the fire station, before crossing Station Road just before the bridge. He was carrying a box in his right hand, as well as an umbrella.

We have since established a further sighting of Peter on CCTV in the Grove Lane area on March 24th at around 12:31, heading into the countryside.

Peter has links to Burnley and Padiham. We believe he may have remained on foot but could be anywhere within Lancashire, close to the border (or actually in) North or West Yorkshire.

Peter is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with brown and grey shoulder-length hair. When he was last seen he was wearing pale jeans, a grey and black long-sleeved fleece and a blue waterproof jacket with a hood. He was carrying a red and black rucksack.

If you have seen him, or have any information about where he may be, please let us know. You can call 101 or email [email protected] quoting log 0511 of March 26. For immediate sightings of Peter, please call 999.

Officers searching for a missing Padiham man have sadly found a body.

The body of man has been located in a wooded area off Grove Lane, Padiham, around 1pm today (May 16).

Although no formal identification has taken place, we believe it to be Peter Beason who was reported missing from Padiham in March.

Mr Beason’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this distressing time.

Mr Beason’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to HM Coroner in due course.
