What caught my attention is that Petra withdrew money from the cashpoint.
In pandemic everybody just pays by card or phone, I rarely see people using cash any more, maybe the elderly.
So...
- She might have wanted to disappear without leaving trace
(my imagination is running amok, I know)
- Sb saw her taking money and followed her intending to rob.

I pray she will be found alive.
I cant imagine what her family is going through :(
I have so many Czech friends, they are fantastic.

I hope that there is a positive outcome to all of this. Just a few weeks ago people were looking for Antonino Coppola a missing London man who was then found safe after quite a long while.
Do we know the amount of cash Petra withdrew from the cash machine before she boarded a bus.
What would the distance have been from the bus stop and the cash machine if she was followed by someone and managed to somehow evade CCTV.

Getting the impression that police have a very good idea who has done something to her but they need more evidence.

"It is believed that she withdrew money from a cashpoint, before getting on to a bus towards Elephant and Castle. She is then thought then to have changed to a new bus travelling towards her home address in Camberwell, where she was last sighted at 20:22hrs." (from the police appeal)

What number buses would she have been likely to take, and what stops would she have waited at? I wonder if we can find some traffic cam footage of her on the street. If she was followed for some or all of her journey, she's not the only person we might be able to see.
If someone is able to map out the bus journey that would be helpful. I am not sure if London buses have some kind of app which will plan the route from Elephant and Castle to Camberwell.

A bus journey from Elephant and Castle to Camberwell can range from 18 min to 20 min.

There are so many reasons why she might have chosen to withdraw money from an ATM, even during a pandemic. Maybe she lives in a HMO and the landlord comes around to collect the rent and only takes cash - as this happened towards the end of the month, that could be a possibility. Perhaps she needed it to pay a coach driver to pick up a package and transport then deliver it to her family back in the Czech Republic. Christmas is just around the corner, so another strong possibility. It also really depends on the sum she withdrew...maybe it only was £10 or £20. If there's a restaurant or, even, an off licence near to where she lives in Camberwell that doesn't take cards she would need to have some money on her for when she goes there to get some food/groceries. Remember that thsi was on a Sunday evening, so most supermarkets such as Sainsbury's, Tesco, Lidl etc would have been closed by 5 PM. All MOO of course.

What an interesting name "Elephant and Castle"!
I wonder what is the origin of it?
As a foreigner Im always interested in curious names in other countries.

I see :)
It is just that the last time I used cash was 1,5 years ago.

Agree. More reasons to need cash: needing to repay a small debt; needing to chip in on a whipround at work or church collection; living in a shared place and needing to pay a contribution to a bill to the person whose name it's in; wanting to withdraw cash for the week's budget to prevent overspending.

It would definitely help to know if we're talking about hundreds or just a tenner.

This would probably have been the first part of her route walking in the first instance to the cash machine then boarding a bus to Elephant and Castle

That's great, but there's over eight million people in London at this point in time, each with their own different habits, needs etc.

91 Westminster Bridge Road cash machine is next door to a pizza place with some outdoor seating but bearing in mind it was late and dark it is unlikely customers would be sitting outside.

Sure. No need to have arguments.
It was just my observation.

But a lonely woman getting cash at night (it was already dark) is an easy prey.
