I should hope she would not only taste it but die immediately if she was bringing an innnocent baby on board to blow up with her! I know, that sounds awful of me to hope someone would die, but the baby and the passengers don't deserve to be blown up, so yeah, I hope she would die.

Hiya, Magpie!

I think the problem is with the beliefs of these people, in that they think they are immediately rewarded with a special place in heaven by carrying out their plot. So, I think a mama would believe she is doing a brave but good thing for her child, as well as herself.

Yeah, I'm sure that is how she would think. :( But that is such a sick way of thinking that it is really hard to go there. My mind kinda floated over the thoughts of that and went straight to seeing red! I get really emotional when it comes to kids.

I don't think theres' anything you can use to coat your stomach throat or mouth to offset an explosive....thinking about those that die by drinking drain cleaner and such. Dunno. In this day and age I guess its possible.

You're probably right chico! Hopefully! My 'magination's running a little bit wild!

Magpie --- it's understandable why you said what you said. I don't think anyone will feel it was hateful. (I happen to agree.)

Now there's a possibility I hadn't thought of ... lining the bottle! Clever thinking, Mag! Hope no terrorists are reading here!

I think it sounds like you'd end up with 2nd or 3rd degree burns!

Is this for real, dingo, or some kind of gag?

Oh NO! :bang: Well, I'm sure if my little brain came up with the idea this morning, the terrorists have thought about it long before I did.

Although, this morning I was wondering what Osama was thinking when he watched the news this moning and saw he had been thwarted again. :croc: My next thought was -- why airplanes again Osama? Can't you have an original thought?

Kudo's for our side! :woohoo:

British Airways, Continental, American and United were the airlines targeted according to Fox and Friends.

Actually I thought it was quite original of you to come up with that bottle liner idea, Magpie!

Oh no! Now on Fox they are saying that one person may be carrying one liquid component of the explosive and another person may be carrying another component!

Cripes! Maybe the solution in the baby bottle that the parent/guardian would be asked to taste would be consumable without doing much immediate harm under those circumstances!

Oh, that reaches down into the depths of fear. Carbombs and backpacks wasn't it? I saw a video of a backpack bomber inside a hotel or restaurant once, was that in Bali? Just awful stuff, all of it is. I often tell my husband that I was much happier before I ever became somewhat educated on terrorism. 9/11 is my daughter's BDay. She just hates that.

Hi dingo :) No offense, really, but I think I may need you to interpret. ;) What's a 'swaggie'? (A camper perhaps?) Is a 'billie' a teakettle?

It really sounds rather precarious to me! But, knowing myself, it sounds dangerous. lol

Yikes! Maybe I should send the Magic Bottle post to Homeland Security then! My mom always did say I had a devious mind, always finding original ways to sneak out of the house and all. I have a criminal mind!

I thought about that too, the possibility of several terrorists getting on the same plane with different components. Maybe I better not explain how I think it might be done! :innocent:
