The body of a man, aged between 40 and 60, was found on the beach at Porth Minick, St Mary's on February 21, 1979. It is believed he had been in the sea for at least four months. Of medium build and 5ft 4ins tall, he was wearing an all-wool Eltex vest and a two-tone blue and white summer shirt.He was wearing a wedding ring with the inscription 'Georgio and Katrina 1956'.
