[h=3]It was just drag them off like the cavemen used to do'[/h]

The jury heard how in November last year Matthews and Hoare exchanged Facebook messages about a 16-year-old school having sex with a grumpy old man.
Mr Mousley: “What’s all that about.”
Matthews: “It was just a joke - toilet humour.”
Matthews was asked why he was trying to contact a 16-year-old girl.
He replied: “Because I fancied her.”
Mr Mousley said: “She was a pretty, petite female -would that be a fair description of her?”
Matthews: “Yes, she was taller than me.”
The jury heard two messages between Matthews and Hoare last December talked about kidnapping “two pretty schoolgirls”.
Matthews said: “It’s just joking around - taking the mick.
“I wasn’t able to talk to girls. It was just drag them off like the cavemen used to do.”

[h=3]'It's just banter'[/h]The jury heard how another series of messages between the pair the same day mentioned bringing a very pretty 16-year-old girl - who Hoare saw in Costcutters - back to the couple’s attic.
Asked to explain the messages, Matthews said: “It’s the same as all the others, it’s just p*** a***** about - it’s just banter.”
The jury are now on a break.

And now we hear that the attic or loft is exactly where parts of Becky's body were kept!

Not long after you've gone to bed, you wouldn't hear two grown men come in your front door, up your stairs onto the landing outside your door and climb up into the loft virtually above you whilst passing down heavy suitcases to another person who is stood out side your door on the landing.. or hear them dragging a big heavy box across the floor . Pull the other one!

Agreed. Oh & she must have been sleep talking / walking because she was awake speaking to NM according to JI. Or maybe of course the female JI heard was their 'not very vocal' 2 year old...ludicrous.

I know everyone is different but since having my daughter I am such a light sleeper whereas before I would sleep through a lot of noise. Saying this my daughter of 5 years old is a very deep sleeper, not much wakes her up.

Ok so the jokes are based on NM fancying teenagers and liking threesomes and SH being aware of that but where does putting them into the attic come into that? A mutually consensual teenage/threesome fantasy wouldn't normally involve an attic. There must be some background and context to the attic part too.

Again, this makes me wonder just how closely they searched the loft ( forensically I mean ).
Could NM and SH have put the body in the loft ( their fantasy after all ) and done the dismemberment up there ? But NM has to pretend it was done in the bathroom - which he would be able to claim he did on his own .........rather than saying it was done in the loft, because for sure no one would believe he could put a body up in the loft unaided, not up that ladder.

this is one of those pieces of circumstantial evidence that I referred to the other day.

some people will say 'it could have happened, it's possible, you can't be sure she would have heard them'..

others will say, it's so highly unlikely, it seems so strange.

but when you get 10 or 20 pieces of highly unlikely evidence stacking up against someone, you think this person was abnormal if all those things happened and every time it is so highly unlikely to be true that they didn't notice any of them.

its the weight of the evidence that makes it valuable when there is no outside witness. it is all the jury has to make a decision, based on what happens in average joe's life.

Pros claims NM's emotional instability led to #BeckyWatts' death, but NM says ‘That makes it sound like I am a bully and that’s not right.’

I can't help but wonder if all the recent news stories about young girls and women who were kidnapped and kept for years in someone's attic/basement/shed might have prompted some new fantasies here. Could they have planned to keep BW alive as a sex slave for him? I don't know, it's an idea that keeps niggling at me.

he couldn't keep his inner caveman under control. IMO.

NM says he ordered two stun guns so there would be "one for me and one for Shauna" but also in case one stopped working

Asked why he bought two stun-guns, Nathan Matthews says: "One for me and one for Shauna". But he denies she was any part of his kidnap plan.

Of course, for protection since he was paranoid & afraid someone would break into their home

You also said you freak out if your child spills a drink - I don't, I just say "don't worry, we can clean it up" - we're all different.

There's also that convenience again. Just like when she was out having a 🤬🤬🤬 just long enough for him to "kidnap" Becky. This time, Say SH is innocent, then when NM makes this arrangment for the lads to collect the packages he would have no idea whether she'd be awake or asleep when he got back with the lads and no idea if she would sleep through them coming up, climbing into the loft, moving stuff... yet conveniently she is asleep when he gets back and sleeps right through all the palava and doesn't wake up till morning, of course he had to pop out again at some point on foot to take the rucksack to the shed too.
