Ah finally we hear what started that convo .

Also.. She's in Aldi shopping ... ON HER OWN!!

Indeed - this would be the going out that she was never allowed to do

I think it's quite common at that age - it's usually more experimental than being a "relationship". Girls often investigate their new-found sexual urges together before getting involved with boys.
Often? Not in my experience. Occasionally maybe but I don't think it's common.

I don't think it's uncommon for children to be moved to different foster carers - people's circumstances change and often if the fosterer has no desire to adopt they don't want the child to become too attached. Also, we don't know if the 4 children were together, apart, 2 with one foster placement 2 with another etc
Agreed but 6 carers in 9 years is a lot by any standard

Yes ON HER OWN - we've already heard that sometimes he 'Sent her to the shop' - if he SENDS her to the shop, in his mind he's still in control as he has allowed it not her free will.

But she's still out there on her own without him

Hoare on stun gun found in her bedroom with POLICE written on it. "I thought it was a torch, he was using it as a torch in the bedroom".

[h=3]'It was meant sarcastically - I have a sarcastic nature'[/h]The messages between Matthews and Hoare mentioned “little sweet 16-year-olds” and “blonde schoolgirls”, the jury heard.
Three messages in December talked about a 16-year-old girl who worked at a Chinese takeaway.
Hoare said: “I knew he found her attractive.”
The jury heard another message Hoare sent to Matthews talked about her bringing teenage girls back to their attic.
Hoare said: “It was meant sarcastically, I have a very sarcastic nature. It wasn’t an actual idea.
“I thought they were completely harmless, inappropriate comments and I could get him in a good mood.
“Sometimes I would make things up to get him in a good mood.”

Another message Hoare sent to Matthews said: “Just went to Costcutters.... saw a very pretty teenage girl....almost brought her home”.
Hoare told the jury she had been to Costcutters but she made up the message.

The closest Aldi I can find to Cotton Mill Lane is some 13 - 15 minutes walk away - bus also takes same length of time.

But this still means SH being * out there* on her own, something she was not allowed to do.... more lies

[h=3]Hoare laughs when asked if she thought Matthews would kidnap girl[/h]Hoare was asked if she thought Matthews was going to kidnap a girl.
She laughed briefly and replied: “No.”
Regarding the lies she told about the messages, Hoare said: “I regret it massively for two reasons.
“One, I shouldn’t have lied and also because it makes it looks worse than if I told the truth, just like this.”

I can understand her panicking and initially lying - I think it's partly human nature. She did later admit it.

In a case that serious no I don't think it is human nature to lie . I imagine her admitting it had something to do with the fact that it was on her phone , a phone that only she and NM used and it was a converation between two people, nobody would believe her lie that she hadn't sent it. She'd have been stupid to carry on that particular lie as it could so easily be disproved.

Used it as a torch - is she suggesting that on top of no heating and no hot water they also lived with no lighting - it beggars belief

Eta - I see that is what she is saying

they'd only owned the stun gun since January. talks about it as if it was longer. also they stopped to buy batteries - would they have run out already after a month's occasional use as a torch? could have been the other one though.

So SH * made up * ( ie; lied ) about spotting teenage girls and being willing to bring them home for NM - simply to put him in a good mood.

What a very strange relationship.

She didn't know its other uses yet he says he bought one for her. Also surely he'd have explained the other use in case she accidentally ended up using the stungun part.

BIB - Wow laughing in court? Inappropriate. I think both of them are pretty arrogant when it comes to authority

Secondly. “I regret it massively for two reasons.
“One, I shouldn’t have lied and also because it makes it looks worse than if I told the truth, just like this.” . She is very manipulative. (No I'm not saying that this makes her a murderer) She is really good at rationalising and telling us what we want to hear.
