[h=3]'I went to have a cigarette then watched TV'[/h]Hoare is now being asked questions about the day Becky was killed in February this year.
She and Matthews drove round to Becky’s home around 11am.
Hoare said she went straight into the kitchen to find one of Anjie Galsworthy’s cigarettes. Then she went for a smoke outside in the back garden.
She could hear Becky’s music playing upstairs.
When Hoare came back into the kitchen she heard Becky leave the house.
She told the jury: “I heard somebody coming down the stairs and the front door shut. Nathan was sitting on the sofa - he was on his tablet or his phone and the TV was on.
“I assumed he put it on.”
Hoare said she watched TV until Anjie came home from a hospital appointment about 90 minutes later.

So even though NM said yesterday he was in the kitchen when the door slammed, she sticks with her story that she was in kitchen and he was in the living room watching TV and playing with phone or tablet.

SH then finished smoking and came into the kitchen to wash her hands because 'I wanted to get that smell off my hands.'

SH said ‘I heard someone downstairs & the door shutting.' Then when she went into the living room NM was there on his phone

I think you've got that mixed up. he first told someone, don't know who, that he was in the kitchen, but told the court he 'obviously' wasn't because it was him slamming the door.

Becky's stepmother, Anjie Galsworthy, returned home and asked where Becky was. "I said I think she went out," Hoare tells court

Hoare: Becky's boyfriend Luke Oberhansli came to ask where she was that afternoon. Hoare went to her bedroom, knocked and looked inside.

Hoare: No sign of Becky in bedroom so shouted down to Mrs Galsworthy and Luke that she wasn't in.

And still no mention of their little girl. Unless she is not allowed to be mentioned in court for whatever reason. I find this telling if not. My kids at that age were 'central' in pretty much everything I did. Not even a 'Sat with my Daughter watching kids tv' or something similar. Maybe I'm just starting to lose it? :shame:

That doesn't mean she's the one lying though.

A bad night with nightmares?

So he really couldn't rely on her sleeping through him moving all the stuff out of the house. Deep sleeper or not she coudlve woken up with a nightmare

Why then, I suppose we can discount the testimony about JI telling his buddy that he heard a female in the home arguing with NM the eve/early morn the packages were moved out...Shauna had another nightmare that eve & was screaming out.

Waiting to hear today that nightmares or intense dreams can be a side-effect of anti-depressants she had been on (which I believe may be true)

Excellent we have a time span now. So 90 minutes between them arriving and Anjie coming home

So they were buying batteries at 10.50 hrs
Arrived at the house by 11 am ?

AG returned at 12.45 hrs - 90 minutes before this is 11.15 hrs.

Even if I give her ( SH ) a bit of leeway on this, she did say about 90 minutes, this still makes it a very tight deadline for NM to have gone upstairs, done everything and by back sitting on the sofa by 11.15 / 11.30am

The fact that he could even think of saying he was in the kitchen with her, makes me think SH wasn't there in the kitchen. Cause it means he expected her to back his story even though he wasn't there. Pretty quickly one of them must have realised he couldnt have been both with her in the kitchen when the door slammed AND slamming the door himself and changed the stories to suit.

Taken from UK & Eire FB:
Just to clarify: Shauna has not mentioned a child being with her.

It wasn't clear to me from tweets if she was on the anti-depressants then or has been in the months since Becky died. Hopefully an article will confirm... or th epros will ask.

Just because it is a possibility that she may have woken up the night the body was being moved, doesn't mean she did. At that point Nathan didn't have much other choice but to risk her hearing them 'sneaking about'. He'd already done so much, why is is hard to believe he would risk waking up SH in the middle of the night? People seem to be getting mired in the idea of that what COULD have happened absolutely, irrefutably DID happen.

Interesting variance here. The original story that I read was that SH opened the door to LO, he asked if Becky was in.
SH called out to AG to ask if Becky was in.
AG said she was not sure and I thought it was AG who checked, while SH stayed at the door with LO ( who was not invited in ).
Could just be MSM getting it wrong though and would make more sense for it to have been SH who went upstairs to check rather than AG.

Edited to add...
the bit I dont get is
AG comes home and asks about Becky. SH says thinks she has gone out.
But then when LO comes round, SH has to ask AG where Becky is ?
If SH believed Becky had gone out and no one had seen or heard Becky come back in ( its not a mansion ) then why was SH unsure of her whereabouts.

I find it very strange. It suggests to me that the child wasn't with her, and she can't cope with holding too many lies going on together in case she gets caught out. I wonder if she was still strapped in the car, and they brought her in when they decided to stay and tell everyone Becky had gone out.

But for him to say he was with her in the kitchen, he assumes she will agree. Only she cant agree as it then means there was no door slam that they both heard.

Am I nitpicking?

vs Luke Oberhansli tells court he last saw teenager two days before her death ( 8 Oct )

"Oberhansli, 17, said Hoare answered the door. “I asked if Becky was there. She asked Anjie, who replied that she didn’t think so.” According to the prosecution, by that time Becky was dead and her body hidden in the boot of Matthews and Hoare’s car. Oberhansli said that Hoare seemed “OK” when he spoke to her."

If I recall correctly she made a point of saying her child wanted to go and see the rabbit during her interview.
