Argh I was about to say one thing I couldn't see was the big blue plastic box NM referred to and that maybe they'd thrown toys from the garden on top.... then I remembered it had all been moved to the shed by the time these pics were taken.

Maybe to avoid police seeing that they'd moved some large items out of the lounge since they last visited, they did put in toys from outside in place of what had been moved? Not that I think police would have noticed, but NM wouldnt know that and th elast thing he'd want to hear would be "Wheres that big blue box gone that was here before?"

ETA, Id I'd have read on I'd have seen we're all on the same page about the stuff already being moved etc. lol

I think he was frantic. He knew police would be coming round to search. They asked the police, when Becky was reported missing, what the next steps would be in the search for her. He had to know a routine search would be done at CML because they were last people to "hear" if not see Becky. It makes perfect sense to me that the garden clutter was brought into the house in case CML was searched before he/they got rid of the evidence. At that point, police would be looking for a missing child hiding somewhere - not a dismembered body.

Ah I see... So you think "clutter" may have be added after they moved her body. I see now.

I can't stop thinking about BW's missing cheque that her Gran sent her was found in loft.......was this the cause of a fight? I hope the Police checked that the 'ISA's NM said they had actually existed as I find it hard to believe they had £10 in the bank never mind 10k.
Also, (APOLOGIES FOR GRAPHIC WORDING HERE) .....
thinking of dismemberment and lack of mess. I wonder if he had the shower curtain across and also if there may have put something across the bath to hang body from making it easier to use the saw?

The handcuffs. I've never believed his "kidnap" plan. I don't think he took a suitcase to CH with the intention of putting her in it alive. I don't believe he had a disguise mask which he dumped in a bin near Wilton Close. The confusing thing to me has always been the handcuffs. He must have used them at some point otherwise why dispose of them? I wonder if he used them to suspend the body.

If they did use the saw in the bathroom, I think the drain cleaner was used to remove any forensic evidence from the bathtub drain after. Jmo

Going back to the door slam and them both saying they were in the kitchen

I've just had a lightbulb moment (I think) - you probably all got there yesterday anyway and I'm lagging behind with this -

NM said that was his only big mistake.

The only thing he can mean by this is that Shauna heard him say it to Anjie and, more than that, also backed up that he was there with her instead of telling him he wasn't there.

It can't be to do with it subsequently being discovered by Anjie that it was a lie that he was in the kitchen because that isn't what caused him to be arrested and found out (ie a BIG mistake).

The mistake is that it reveals Shauna to have been complicit in his lie, but why would he drop in such a silly admission at this stage that causes a problem for Shauna's defence?

Without a statement from Anjie about what they said to her, Shauna will probably say she doesn't remember what he said to Anjie. But the seed of doubt will be planted in the minds of the jury.

I'm wondering if he wrapped Becky in the duvet cover at CH and then when they got to CML (daylight if they went at lunchtime) to disguise getting her out of the boot to carry her in, NM brought out his suitcase to the boot, put Becky in it, and then used the trolley thing to wheel the case to the front door.

Don't you think he/they may have wanted to take her alive from CL to CML/elsewhere?
If the police say (despite no injuries to that effect), it was still a "sexually motivated " attack.......? (Connected to the other charges perhaps?)

I don't believe his "kidnap to improve behaviour" plan either but I think he/they estimated that they would need handcuffs to incapacitate her, remove her alive/unconscious.

He had bought his stun guns a couple of months before. Not the saw obviously- as there originally was no need foreseen.

Suspend the body to assist etc? Don't know.
There is the lift bar in the picture, but it wouldn't extend to fit in that bathroom though?

Just thought, urghh didn't SH say that the handcuffs were normally clipped to that pull up bar and then keys hung off them?

I'd word it as "extra clutter" ;) To hide what had been removed

Does anyone think that's what the neighbour heard - the trolley with the case on it being pulled up the stairs and being wheeled across the floor?

She said it was upstairs and it was a wooden floor iirc.

I don't recall seeing a wooden floor upstairs. I wonder which is the adjoining wall for her house?

she did indeed

That would explain why the suitcase split as he carried it up the stairs (according to NM) . It didn't split before then as it hadn't been used till then

I don't recall NM being asked why he had taken a duvet cover from the spare room, was he?

Or if they removed covers from Becky's bed?

OH god and didnt they say only one of Becky's wrist had had handcuffs on? That would make sense if the other handcuff was clipped to the bar.

We don't know the context of this supposed "kicking out"..to my knowledge it is only the accused who have mentioned this..how do we know they have their facts right..

When I was a teenager I was terrible, I went to a strict girls school and rebelled terribly when at home. There were plenty of times when my behaviour had caused arguments at home resulting in me storming out and my mom would always say don't come back - so I wouldn't. I would stay at a friends or family for a night or two and then slope back with my tail between my legs

It isn't only the accused - I'd have given the claim less credence if it were - it's Becky's father as well. From the Crimes Against Children Facebook page:

Statement read from Darren Galsworthy, Becky's dad: "Rebecca was very rude, abusive and disrespectful to Anjie". Anjie, her stepmum has MS. [...] Around Christmas 2014 they had a row when she was being particularly disrespectful. She was asked to leave home, left for a bit.

SH said only that this had happened on several occasions. I'm inclined to give her statements on this more credence than I otherwise might (including, for example, her statement on DG's will, which could easily have been confirmed or refuted with AG) because they're confirmed in part by DG himself.

We're on the same page . Why would he admit it was a major mistake? He would know they (pros) know and it might even be what he thinks got him charged or even SH charged.

Could be. I'd thought it was the heavy blue plastic box but that's apparently downstairs, it might even have been the cooker in the bathroom , was it definitely upstairs?

Yes, that's why I mentioned it. She denied, when asked that the pair had ever used them in sex together and said they just dangled off the bar.

I am not sure personally that BW was suspended from that, originally poster was asking something along those lines.
I do, however, think NM is a sexual compulsive with some dark fetishes and I assume when he bought them he had some fantasy in mind but interestingly they never used them together, she says.
(I think they were probably bit bored with each other on that front.)

perhaps he subconsciously wants SH to be found out?

or, he consciously wants her found out and is doing it in a sly way - making it obvious he couldn't have done anything on his own and hinting as to where they can catch SH out, but in a way where he hasn't actually stated it.

Another puzzle. A puzzle within a puzzle.

Maybe he is more cunning than we realise. I need to revisit my thoughts about this being a sexually motivated plan, cos I will admit I had written that off. I've been sucked in to the 'only wanted to scare her' story.
