The bed covering was a duvet, was it not? That would nearly fill a suitcase by itself.

Yes
NM is lying through his teeth about how all this happened at Becky's house...the million dollar question is WHY? Jmoo

I believe it was just the cover - we had discussion on here initially that we had thought it had come from Beckys bed as the duvet appeared to be without a cover on the police photos

I feel like the prosecutor is letting her get away with this. Why is there no questioning of conflicting statements she has made?

1. the jury will have noticed already, just like we have
2. the prosecutor will sum up before the jury retires
3. the judge will do a very thorough summing up of every piece of evidence and where it is conflicting, before the jury retires

I only hope he will begin on that tomorrow. She may, unwittingly, have dug herself into a hole with her answers so far. (I hope)

don't know if anyone else has replied as I'm catching up, but I think the prosecution cross-exam has finished. she may be cross examined by one of the defence barristers also though, and then her own QC will re-examine her briefly .

I've been thinking about the make up on the diy mask.

I think he ended up with bruises on his face and put make up on to cover them on the Friday when he took SH to Crown Hill. I don't suppose the CCTV in B&Q would pick it up.

But if he had bruises on his face, AG and DG would have noticed them on the day Becky went "missing" as he was there for some time. If there were any signs of injury on him, he would probably have taken off as soon as AG arrived, so he wouldn't be scrutinized..

I suppose it's possible that he borrowed SH makeup to hide something, idk

Is that true Tortoise?? I am amazed because the pros. has spent hardly any time on her at all. Considering the charges against her I was expecting much more questioning.

UK and Eire fb says pro will continue tomorrow and that he appeared to just be warming up.

yes, you could be right - that could be a reason if they took Becky's make up

I read it in one of the tweets if you go back a few pages at about 3.05pm

Giving evidence at Bristol Crown Court today, Hoare said: "She said to me that she knows why we were over there.
"I asked why. She said because I had something to do with the girl that went missing.
"I said 'what girl?' and she said Becky.

Unbelievable! SH was in a rush to get in touch with her own family after 4 years, because if something happened to her, she wanted her family to come together like Becky's did (so she says). However, when they finally get together, she doesn't mention Becky at all to her mother.

When her mother finally asks her about the girl who went missing, SH replies "what girl". SH response to everything is to lie, avoid, deny. The only reason she was at her mother's in the first place, was because of Becky, so why act stupid and ask "what girl?" (shakes head)

nothing about the call to 'children in care' then. unless it hasn't been reported. I can't stand mysteries.

Thanks for that reply Tortoise. I am really hoping it meant the Court was finished for the day, not the prosecution for good.

I only know what I read as well, and today has been difficult access for me, so fingers crossed pros. hasn't finished with her yet !

ITVBeckyTrial Court heard that James Ireland saw SH in the house, shouting at NM, telling him to "get out".
(SH of course, denies this)

This IMO is what blows her story right out of the water. She was there, she was seen to be there, she was arguing with NM, she was not sleeping. If KD supports this, it shows she was lying about going straight to sleep and not hearing items being removed from the loft outside her bedroom.

It's not too important what she was arguing about, it just proves that she was up and aware what was going on, but she could have been arguing because she didn't want anyone else involved, and he brings home 2 guys to move the evidence, whereas she wanted them to do it themselves.

She could also have been arguing because he promised them £10,000 and half of that was her money (if the story about them having £10,000 in savings accounts was true).

The amount of lies and conflicting, changing stories means that the jury can assume that they're not telling the truth and therefore they'll be found guilty of murder.

Somebody please tell me that this can happen...

it could have been an incorrect report, I'm only going by what I read

UK & Eire say "Prosecution will probably continue with their cross examination of Shauna tomorrow. He seems to be warming up now"

These tweets suggest otherwise. Not sure. Given they finished so early, tweets are probably correct

Cross-examination concludes with this final exchange:
PROS: Are you just very unlucky?
SHAUNA HOARE: Yes.

When asked if she is just "very unlucky", SH replies yes. Cross examination has finished #beckywatts
