Doubt, (for me) of where the actual dismemberment site was given the complete lack of Dna at NMS home.

Soo many unanswered questions where the pros had an opportunity to elaborate but failed to do so.

Grrr

If the prosecution don't know, they are not going to ask. It's a basic rule of prosecution - don't ask a question if you don't already know the answer.

It seems to be accepted that it took place in the bathroom though. I think it's highly unlikely that it was elsewhere.

Yes, I know, but it's not specified. It would fall under this section:

If you are summoned to go for jury service the judge has certain powers to:
put off your service until a later date
excuse you for that sitting or a particular trial or period of time if you have a good reason

Knowing about the crime or belonging here would not disqualify you. It is a jurors duty to consider only the evidence presented. Juries aren't selected using voire dire as in the USA.

Blood was found on the parcel shelf of Nathan Matthews's car but this was not Becky's. Matched the profile of Nathan Matthews #BeckyWatts

Not disputing that but a large part of their case revolved around the dismemberment being done in the bathroom when actually (from what we've been told) there isn't actually anything to say that it happened there aside from NMS word...

No Dna in there. Nothing such as tape markings,to demonstrate that coverings had been used (plus no coverings found), no marks on the bath despite expert evidence stating this would be near impossible..

Three of the head hairs found in the boot of the Vauxhall Zafira were in keeping as having originated from #BeckyWatts

I'm not even convinced she was dead when she was taken from her home. There doesn't seem to be any evidence, other than NM's story - which is full of holes. So, I am also finding it hard to believe she was dismembered in the bathroom, due to the complete lack of DNA evidence. I think something happened in there - maybe cleaning body parts and cleaning himself/themselves, but I am totally open to there being another site which hasn't been discovered.

And there was never an explanation for the 40 injuries - despite MN claiming he only punched her once.

I think Shauna is guilty as hell, the other I think they just thought it was drugs or robbery stuff I think they all got wind of the arrests of NM & SH the penny dropped with them all had a little meeting to sort out what to do and got arrested

  • #576
So if there was another site, how is this significant? Are you saying that SH may be telling the truth and knew nothing about it?

The only thing was the boot liner with Becky's hair on, shoved in the back of the cooker in the bathroom.

NM's blood on the parcel shelf of his car (thats the shelf above the boot yes?) made me wonder if he'd got it there after cutting himslef whilst using the saw elsewhere, putting the body parts in the boot and then driving back home, but equally I suppose it could be from cutting himself at home using the saw then putting something in the boot after.

I'm so pleased - you know when you're about to get ready to do the school run (on foot, in the pouring rain) and then walk all the way to take the kids to their swimming lessons, and then not get home til after 5 and miss all the court info? But then your husband comes home early and agrees to do all the running about and THEN make a curry for us all? Well that!
