I had not previously heard the bit about NMs fingerprints found in the shed at Barton Court

On Tuesday (27/10) the prosecution read out a series of agreed facts to the jury. They included that forensic teams had found strands of Becky's hair in the Vauxhall Zafira belonging to Nathan Matthews and that a number of his fingerprints were found in the shed at Barton Court where Becky's remains were discovered.

No fingerprints from his girlfriend and co-accused Shauna Hoare were found on items in the shed though, or on items of significance at her and Nathan Matthews' home in Cotton Mill Lane or Becky's home in Crown Hill.

They also agreed no fingerprints were found belonging to Donovan Demetrius - who denies assisting an offender - on the shed at Barton Court or the items inside, nor on an Airbus van that was allegedly used to transport Becky's body.

Before closing their case, the prosecution also said a number of bookmarks were discovered from forensic downloads of Nathan Matthews and Shauna Hoare's phones - 12 of which were from 🤬🤬🤬🤬 websites relating to teenagers and threesomes.

"He [JI] conceded he had sent Snapchat messages about the missing girl, including one to Karl saying "Is that the kiddie's house.""

Just read this on Beesknees onedrive document. Snapchat is a short sentence or a few words laid over a photograph, isn't it? So which photo did JI use? Was it a photo of Crown Hill, or did he think that NM's house was 'the kiddie's house' (I'm assuming the kiddie is Becky?). Would love to know more detail about this, because it either a) was an innocent conversation about the crime, which is plausible considering it was well publicised in Bristol, or b) he had put 2 and 2 together and knew NM was related to BW (or KD had told him that NM was her ste-brother and the penny might have been dropping).
Interesting what you don't see on Twitter which turns up later! Wish we had a proper transcript...

Are you suggesting this is where DD comes in?

Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

I did wonder if DD helped to move the boxes from the kitchen to the shed .... there was something in the statement from DDs work colleague where he claimed that DD said he was tired as he had been waiting up for his brother to return from doing some dodgy deal.
However, I have just found an article from the Breeze and it includes some of the agreed facts, one of which is that DDs fingerprints were not found in the shed but NMs fingerprints were ....
So, did he help move the original boxes or is this perhaps from when he dropped off the rucksack.

Were NM's fingerprints found literally IN THE SHED, ie on the doorframe, etc, or just on the stuff that he had stored there? I have a feeling that DD might be found not guilty as it sounds like he was just in the house at around that time and knew something 'dodgy' was going on but not what it was (and kept his head down), but JI is being caught out in lies now. :(

From Alyce's link http://www.thebreeze.com/somerset/n...ates-from-week-4/i/view-of-eurohike-rucksack/

So maybe he didn't help move items to the shed.

If so, then $ would be split between JI & KD

Though, bro would more likely cover for bro...idk

What a mess & shame to agree to help NM out in the middle of "work," leave work in early morn hours...for quick bucks.

Would think don't realize it's BW's body parts, etc...but def not naive even to believe that they did not think they were helping NM cover up a crime (No way, imo)

I don't buy JI believes he was helping to move NM's clothes & belongings out

The article says In The Shed but you know what MSM are like. It could very well be on the stuff in the shed, rather than the doorframe etc

I have some thoughts on all this, which I will gather together in my head and post in a sec, just wanted to correct misinformation posted by some court tweeters about the cross-examination of JI this afternoon - It is Andrew Langdon QC cross-examining him at the moment - Hoare's barrister. Prosecution haven't started on him yet - which could explain why he hasn't been questioned about his friend's testimony that he told him he heard NM & SH arguing.

So ITV and HeartWest must have got it wrong then if it wasn't the prosecution cross examining.

Prosecution are now cross-examining James Ireland. He insists he has always told the truth. #beckywatts

Heart West News ‏@HeartWestNews · 4 hrs4 hours ago
The prosecution's comparing JI's answers today to his written statements questioning if he's changing his story. JI denies he is #BeckyWatts

I know that UK & Eire are on the whole just reposting the journos tweets, but they did say this

Court has been adjourned again - I believe the prosecution will start their cross-examination of James Ireland after court resumes in about 10 minutes or so

Do they have anything at all on this guy, I wonder. I'm surprised they didn't just let him go, like the third brother.

I was wondering that! I've heard nothing that sticks in my mind other than he was in the house

A few more detailed snippets in this article, including the bit about NM not having packed and having a lot of stuff !!!

Ireland has given evidence at Bristol Crown Court and given his account of what happened the night Becky's body was moved.

He told the court that Karl Demetrius had a friend, Matthews, who needed help moving clothes.

Ireland told the jury: "I just thought his mate had been kicked out by his missus."

He said the pair went back to his workplace to get a van, as Matthews said he had not packed yet but he had quite a lot of stuff.

Hi, newbie here - I just wanted to post an observation that I haven't seen mentioned.

In Shauna's first interview, while the searches were ongoing, she said something like "Becky was like a daughter to Angie".

This was a slip similar to the one that implicated Maxine Carr, and tells me that the charge of assisting an offender should be upheld. If I'm correct then everything else she says needs to be seen in the context that she knew Becky was dead before her body was found.

Not sure yet where I stand on the murder charge ....

It's that long ago, I'd forgotten about this. Bignell was a colleague of KD & JI

Later Mr Bignell saw Ireland's car had left, and later still he noticed the car was back but the work van had disappeared.
...
"They were very happy. They were talking about going on nice holidays with the money for the job.
...
"I asked them what they had done to get this money. They both gave me the cold shoulder.
"They did mention they were going to receive the money at the end of the week on Friday."

Never heard of him!

The Demetrius family live just off a side street from NM SH KD DD. Shannon was arrested initially along with his brothers. And his mother's home and car was investigated/searched too at the time.
