So if WAS asleep on the sofa, he'd have been there when they went into the lounge, when JI stayed in the kitchen. He's claiming he was in "bed" though. MAybe he didn't want his boss to know he was staying at his brothers rather than having a permanent address.
In bed could be the sofa, did he have an actual bedroom to sleep in of his own at the house?

From the UK crimes against children Facebook, after the public gallery applauded "One of Beckys friends shouts 'thankyou'"

I get the impression alot of the family/friends believe DDs account too. I certainly do.

I'm astonished that they charged him on what we've heard. All there seems to be is some hearsay stuff from a couple of people who are applying hindsight and may well have embroidered it.

ETA quiet, worried, on edge - well, he was about to be made homeless, that would be quite enough to make me quiet, worried and on edge.

Shocking. I hope journalists hold the CPS for account on this as from what we've seen I can't see at all why he has been charged. 'Realistic prospect of conviction! How?!

Why would selling your moped be considered or talked of as "dodgy dealings" though? Is everyone on eBay or AutoTrader 'dodgy dealing' ;)

Could be dodgy if selling to someone before a HP agreement has been paid off. Or if the paperwork isn't legal, up to date, or bike been ridden without valid MOT.

Thanks for this info, as I was just about to ask same question as the OP.

ETA Was thanking in ref to the longer paste you included, which obviously has disappeared

I don't think dodgy relates to paying for a moped on installments. Quietness/not his usual self/no longer bubbly could be anything... or we can draw an adverse inference...... would it really be to do with commonplace rows with Jaydene?

Hopefully pros will ask him, it coudl be something unrelated but there's that chance that he waited up to help his brother with some unspecified dodgy dealing , his brother asked JI instead, DD found out after the event that it was supposedly drugs, which DD wouldn't have got involved with and was then on edge all week waiting for them to be moved.

Court heard DD deleted messages between him and his brother between February 21 to 25. DD says his phone had insufficient memory so deleted.

Donovan says he refused to give police his phone PIN because it contained naked photos of his girlfriend

UK&Eire

"Donovan said he hadn't been offered money to move the suitcases and boxes, and hadn't had contact with his brother - 'who is in prison awaiting sentence' - since being arrested"

No contact since March 2015 - not enough a call to shout at his brother, express how horrified he is? Not even a note to say same....
Fear of further implication?

I would say yes it could be. It wasnt just that they were having rows, it was that DD was going to have to find somewhere else to live, which was probably playing heavily on his mind. Particularly if as has been reported he was going to have to move to his grandmothers ? which was an hour away. Commuting to work etc would then be a headache perhaps ? I can quite believe how all that would be getting him down, causing him to be quiet.

Obviously not every motor sale is dodgy but maybe this one was. Might also just be a sarcy phrase rather than go into detail about what his brothers getting up to

Aha ... deleting specific texts from one person IS dodgy though not enough to have him on remand for 5 months in my opinion.

DD tells court he refused to give the passcode to his phone to police as he had indecent videos and pictures of his girlfriend on there.

DD asks: "If someone came along and took your phone would you let people see pictures of your naked girlfriend on there? I don't think so."

DD tells the court the suggestion he was involved in the hiding of #BeckyWatts body parts makes him angry and upset

It's got to be the work convos, talking about dodgy deals and waiting up for his brother etc. Plus the deleting of txts and "ambiguous" texts. Put all together that could look sus.

DD: "I have to start my life from scratch. I might not get to see my brother again for quite some time."

DD's case has concluded.

If it meant not being accused of helping cover up a murder and spending 5 months in jail ... yes! Here's my pass code PLEASE be respectful that my girl has sent me cheeky pics ...

Wonder if texts were asking his brother about what was in the shed? Even though, at that point, he was unaware of what they were, but was concerned as to what was happening around him, and involving his brother. Surely someone, anyone, at that point must have questioned what was going on when a massive missing persons enquiry was going on around them?

Doesn't say it was only his texts though?

He never had one but at least he was expressing some thoughts for the family and expressing real horror at what this case is all about.'

DD said he was upstairs, in bed, with headphones on.
