When I first heard NM say he wore concealer I thought it was just another one of his many lies. Until I read that the mask with traces of SH's DNA was the one without the make up stains. The mask with the make up staining contained DNA from NM but not from SH. So yes, I think it is possible he had bruising which he needed to hide, probably from DG/AG rather than SH though imo

That's what I meant. I wasn't suggesting that he wore make-up habitually, just that he might have used SH's concealer, probably at her suggestion.

Quoting myself, but the Defence sound like they are almost justifying his actions - or at least justifying why he thought he had to do something.

Not happy with them using DG's statement either, as it backs up NM's justification.

It's a bit rich of the defense to say the pros is ignoring the background when the defense seems to be ignoring the fact that NM's version of events doesn't make any bl**dy sense!!

I agree, so sneaky to use DG's statement which I bet was a snippet of a much longer description. I am sad that we never heard a statement from either DG or AG on how Becky was when she wasn't being all the annoying things all teenagers are in general, we were all a 'Becky' at one point of our life's i'm sure you would all agree...

The defence are trying to justify NM's action along with making it sound like DG also agrees with the way Becky was, it's not even clever tbh, it's disgusting and I hope the jury & judge see through it. Dis-respectful. Of course it is their job, to defend. Wouldn't do their job for all the money in the world...

Am finding it a bit strange. Will reserve judgement until AV has finished but at the moment it is coming across that his defence for NM is to say Becky was badly behaved so that's why NM killed her ? I mean most normal, rational folk would have a word or two, not kill someone.
Also, I dont know why, but I found his use of the word boneheaded quite unpleasant, even though I know what he meant.

I won't swear to it, but AFAIK that is a later, separate statement they make, on the impact on them rather than a witness statement as to events, circumstances etc.

its read out at the sentencing hearing, before sentencing - how she was as a person, and how their lives have been affected. yes, it isn't their witness statement.
