Yes, get your butt to bed early!! Skibs orders [emoji14] Otherwise you will end up like me, body clock is whack, I'm never in bed before 2am and more often than not its around 4am when I do finally call it a night. I should just pretend to be Anerican lol I'm more Texas time than Yorkshire thanks to SCHMAE introducing me to WS!
I hear ya. I'm never in bed before 2am - normally fall asleep about 3 and up at 7am...and I wonder why I fall asleep on the bus!

Yeah something like that. Makes me wonder tho. Do you think the Jury would of returned the same Verdicts had it been majority of men to women?
Just curious....lol

Personally, yes, men can still see the same as the women jury. Don't forget one of the perps was a woman, no bias when it came to the accused, the woman involved was also convicted quickly by the female jury. Some might say the manslaughter conviction showed some female bias but I think it was purely on the evidence.

Will JI and DD be back at home now?

I hope so. I felt bad that KD and JP didn't plead 'not guilty', they might have stood a chance, I think the jury seemed focused on those that caused Becky to die and if I would have been in their shoes, the 'stupid 4' as I have seen them referred to on this thread, don't really fit in the same dock as NM and SH and I would personally have been happy for all 4 to walk free without conviction.

I think so - as far as I know you're free to go as soon as you're acquitted. At least that is what seems to happen on TV ;-)

ETA - this is in reply to will JI and DD be home?!

It was me that dubbed them that, way back, hope it didn't offend anyone but they have been naive and gullible to the extreme!

I'm glad JI & DD are home, of the two of them JI was more involved but he's done 8 months on remand. It would only be fair, really, for KD/JP to serve at least the same as JI did, so I think 2 years each would suffice (so a year to be served). That said, I feel for their kids and hope they can get back to "normal" family life one day, so I'd settle for JP getting a suspended sentence.

I mean, what an absolute shocker this has been for them too. They must be horrified.

Only just heard about the verdicts! Not been able to check WS today and didn't think I would need to - really surprised at the speed of these verdicts but oh Soooo pleased !

When JP and KD were mentioned in the post-trial statements, I was half-expecting something to be said to the effect that they did not know the true content of the bags. So I don't know, perhaps that hasn't been accepted.

How on earth can anyone get back to a normal life after such a grotesque case. It will stay with them forever. I really don't know if their jobs would of been kept open. Personally I'd move out of the area and try to adopt as normal a life as I could. Then again I'm sure the daily papers will be offering a deal to them. To spill their stories.
I do feel for them. Especially JI & DD. Wrong place wrong time abuse of company time and resources. (Taking the Van. Watching films at night etc etc).
Leads to the saying. If something is too good to be true. Then it probably is... £20 for a 20 min job.... or did KD tell them they'd may be in for a cut if they helped him out..
Besides the by. 8 months on remand.. time served. I'm guessing that is what JP & KD will also get. Maybe... depends on how involved KD was.
OHHHH hurry up Friday already!

I dont think KD would have got off with a not guilty verdict. He had knowledge of a considerable amount of money being offered to him for the job. He knew he was not being asked to simply move NMs belongings because he had been thrown out ( the lie that was, allegedly, told to JI ).
So, KD knew basically that he was assisting an offender. He just didn't know the full horror of what he was assisting him with.
My guess is that he will get a suspended sentence.

I imagine JP will also get a suspended sentence. Less involved than KD but evidence against her with the texts that showed she also knew it was more than just storing a few belongings. So same reasoning, she knew what they were doing was not legal.

Yes, I agreed. From the start I did feel that they should feel some justice for what they did on face value, which was: - transport / store some unknown goods for some reward.

The line to be crossed with my moral stance is whenever any of the "stupid 4" thought they might be storing the evidence of an horrifc murder versus any other goods for any other reasons. There is no evidence that I have seen in MSM that supports that and therefore I think they need to all be given benefit of doubt.

Ahhh, there you are, Buzzy Bollocks! Don't think any of us expected this news today, I was literally about to log off and shutdown when I saw Clio's post. Hope you're ok. Don't get your wings wet x

So do we know what happened to Shauna's twins? Are we allowed to say?

I haven't seen any official word, or unofficial for that matter. If it's in MSM then we can talk about it yes. Provided with link of course.

I don't really know. In the mug shots the 'full length ones' she looks as if she could be expecting. But that may be subject to a media blackout same as her lil girl was..

She looked far more pregnant in the CCTV shots of her in the doorway of a shop, buying supplies for getting rid of the body

I am so glad there has been justice for Becky. This case has renewed my faith in the jury system. I think the US courts should take notes!
Glad to have been here with you all.
