I'm not insecure, thank you. I didn't see the other 'interesting ideas' you refer to, that is all.
Jolly good.

Moving on.

I assume they have all of her then, I've not seen anything about continuing to search for her. This is all just so bloody awful. What a truly barbaric thing to do to somebody :tears:
I wasn't sure it said how she was formally identified.

I think the sentences for assisting an offender are tied to the sentence the offender gets. In this case they could be looking at ten years before mitigating factors are applied.

I am intrigued to know what word was starred out.

It wasn't worth being starred out, or your intrigue really.

The guesses were correct, rhymes with kitty.

Her poor father, what a very very sad task

I imagine they'd have used DNA rather than expecting a family member to be involved. Also, on an even grimmer note, I suspect they'd have had to check for sure that it wasn't more than one person.

The Avonmouth connection is interesting. Avonmouth is the industrial part of Bristol and is home to several waste processing and export facilities. From Google maps, Richmond Villas appears to be very close to the docks.

Yup it's a very mechanical process. They don't just make it up from scratch as they go along.

Absolutely mechanical. It's not like you see on TV. Apart from Scott & Bailey; they at least get some things right.:)

I think somebody has been on both of their profiles and edited stuff as their friends lists are now unavailable to view, they were definitely there for all to see a few days ago.

With regards to no social media links between NM/SH and the other 5, remember (if what was reported was true) that a member of the other five called the police a few days after NM/SH's arrest, plenty of time to delete a couple of friends off FB/Twitter to make it look as though they didn't know each other.

I would think the Police would have looked at their social media very quickly and have access to FB/Twitter and the ability to find whose been deleted etc.

The Prosecution in court today (friday) said this is still an ongoing investigation and alot of forensics work is still needed. It's possible that they just don't have the evidence yet to dismiss the 4's version of events so rather than risk them getting away they will hold until evidence proves one way or another. I may be totally wrong but I still wouldn't be surprised if ALL 4 have been caught up in this and not known anything. Time will tell. I think it is disgraceful that their names were posted by certain news outlets, SOo many families affected by this and too many judging without knowing facts.

I'm wondering now whether when it comes to entering a plea, will NM plead guilty at the earliest opportunity or will he put his family through even more heartache?

I can see him doing a Vincent Tabak and pleading guilty to manslaughter, but that's just a guess as of course I have no idea what evidence they will have against him, or as to cause of death.

I don't think they can charge people on the basis they might get evidence later. They will have had to prove to the CPS that they have enough evidence to charge now.

Sadly I think he will go Not Guilty all the way.........I cant see him thinking of the family in any way at all ....
Without his defence having sight of the evidence and assuming that none of the other 5 have confessed anything I totally agree that he will not admit guilt.

He might try a Tabak and plead guilty to manslaughter nearer to the trial but as it stands....

I don't think it was necessarily aimed at you skibs. I for one saw posts about serial killers and cults yesterday which made me think ????? There's absolutely no evidence to support that..

For the life of me I can't figure out why so many people would help NM. When I mentioned a cult, I specifically said I didn't believe that is what happened, does it make sense for so many others to help him? The girlfriend helping, okay, not that this makes any sense, but surely getting more people involved, the likelihood of somebody gabbing is way more likely. Did NM have something on these people? Or would they blindly follow him?

Yes, I was wondering about Avonmouth when I saw they'd searched the house there. I thought maybe a dock could be a choice for disposing of evidence, phone, laptop etc.... but when I looked at maps it seems they're busy, working docks, with gates and security etc, so I went off the idea.
