<snip>ETA now that SH has been charged with Perverting the course of justice, rather than assisting an offender, does that lean towards it not being her who gave them that information? Or possibly I'm inferring too much from the charge

That would be my understanding of it. I don't see how she could give the location of body parts but claim to be ignorant that an arrestable offense had been committed. Wouldn't be surprised to find that the 5th suspect released without charge was the one who alerted the police.

Agreed. We can never forget they had plenty of time to move and to try to cover. Becky disappeared on a Thursday morning. The Friday afternoon was when the family reported her missing. And only 24 hours after or more when the police released the first appeals. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Good points. I was assuming they'd all have known about Becky's disappearance from the Friday, but as you say, that's only when she was first reported missing - it may very well have been several days before it became big news, especially for those with no connection to the family. That explains why NM was still able to move her body around, if at that stage there wasn't a huge police presence.

Just my idea so maybe totally dismissable but what if BW had been baby sitting for NM/SH the evening before. Then on the 19th NM and maybe SH dropped her off home and popped in for a drink and to see AG. AG left for her appointment leaving BW alone with NM/SH where the proverbial hit the fan or.. another theory is when NM/SH took NM home they gave AG a lift to the hospital then unbeknownst to AG returned back to BW and the house - hens the confusion with who saw her last

I'll give a good look at this timeline. They had so much time :( either to cover or to get the story right, or agree about what to say during
further police questions. They had time to accord several ways to answer depending on what the police could ask them. And mainly, of course, to move B...

A while ago was here discussed about NM being in the army in the past. It appears he was never.

https://www.facebook.com/dale.galsworthy?fref=pb&hc_location=friends_tab&pnref=friends.all have to scroll down a bit...

God, my heart hurts for the family, you can see the pain in their words. They do seem a solid, loving, supportive family though, I think they will really help each other through.

I didn't actually hear about this case until the day or two before arrests, I'm usually on the ball with stuff like this but heard nothing, saw nothing on FB or the news, I really think the police and certain family members were trying to putting pressure on NM/SH and had them in their sights for quite sometime which is why it blew up and seemed to be everywhere I looked very suddenly.

... and they also went on having time all the days the police, the family, the community were searching fields, parks, lakes, etc.

But, what goes on always in my mind is that I think for the police NM and or SH HAD ALWAYS TO BEE of great interest in the investigation. Because we all know that most of these crimes are prepetrated by family or someone not far from the victim's aqquaintances. So, having in mind that NM and SH or one of them where at the house after AG left for the doctor... Oh my. WHY, why

Just updated the map to detail the residences of the accused. Did we ever find out who lived at Wilton Close?

I was having a look at the facebook friends of the brother of JP (who has just been arrested) and he has members of Rw's family as his friends. This might be a tighter web than we can imagine.
Anyway, I am going with my original theory that The step brother had done something to his little step sister and she was rising.

Or ........ NM goes to the house Thursday morning to take his mother to the hospital. We have never been told who owns the Zafira, so it is quite possibly owned by AG, but NM had regular use ( ie; virtually permanently ) of it....one proviso being that he did the hospital runs for his mother.
He then decides he will go back to the house to wait until it is time to collect AG.....and RW is the only person in the house at that time...

Yep, I think so too which is why the police were so vague about Becky's movements Weds evening (still don't know where she stayed) and Thursday morning or who the other people were in the house. I wonder if NM/SH were at DG/AG's side once Becky was reported missing playing the concerned big brother. I think police really stepped up the pressure purely for their benefit and anybody who may have helped and it seems it worked.

I'm not sure there was necessarily any confusion over who saw her last - the police said that family/others were in the house with her after AG left for hospital, they just never said who those people were. I wouldn't be surprised to find that NM was there and might even played a part in persuading her dad and stepmum not to report her missing until 16:02 on Friday the 20th. NM might have been on family/police radar from the get go. I also have a strong feeling that the family knew she was dead a while before the body was discovered and that much that went on was to do with ensuring her remains were found.

I believe that property is where relatives of SH live

<snip> James Ward, prosecuting, told the recorder of Bristol, Judge Neil Ford, that Matthews had been charged with the murder of Rebecca Watts. The judge agreed that it was not appropriate to give details of the case in open court.

Ford recommended that steps be taken to ensure Matthews and Hoare could not get in touch.

Says to me, loads of no comment during their 96 hours .

Hmm I would have thought that AG would have been elegible for a disability car - that cars too old for that

I think this was possibly the reason the family cancelled the public searches - they knew!

I've yet to see a comment where someone says they believe the accused could be involved - plenty of defending comments or 'they seemed normal'. Shows how little you can know someone.
