So if NM did dismember the body in the bathroom and no dna of Becky's found including on the junk in there. This would mean NM cleared the whole bathroom out. Wouldn't SH think that strange? Hmmm, unless he said there was leakage?

A leakage yet the carpet is still in there? No I think not.

If a lavatory pan overflows it would be noticed. But I do believe he had to clear the cooker and other junk out when he was "working".

I agree. Which, again, makes me wonder if it really did happen in that bathroom. It suits SH for it to have been done in there with the door locked for 3 days. Any other room and it would be very hard to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why she was kept out of a room for that long, or how she could have avoided seeing anything.

I can't shake the feeling that NM is telling a story which is deliberately full of lies - that he knows they can prove can't have happened that way. I can't explain what I mean very well - but he has admitted to killing Becky, but everything he describes isn't actually what happened. None of it makes sense - the kidnap story, SH not seeing a thing, telling the police he dismembered Becky in a room that he knows has no evidence in it whatsoever.

I think he is giving them such a bizarre story to completely cover up what really happened and perhaps where it really happened ..... but I don't know why. Could what happened be even worse than what we know? To protect SH? But would a violent, bullying, controlling partner, who has displayed that sort of behaviour for so many years, suddenly find his conscience and immediately revert to being totally protective and do all he can to protect the person he previously controlled.

I don't know very much about domestic abuse and that type of control, but I've read a lot of cases where the man doesn't change the behaviour, despite court rulings and even prison, and continues the abuse and the behaviour. NM seems to have 'reformed' immediately.

BIB Yes, if he is clever enough, that would be a very smart thing to do. He has admitted the killing but has distracted with a load of rubbish about how it was done, knowing that the police will realise it could not have happened the way he said, but they have no alternative explanation.

Not that I suppose it matters in the grand scheme of things, but would you be able to get to the pipe behind the toilet in that house with such a circular saw.
I'm a diy female and if I had to do it myself (prefer my friendly plumber) I would use a hand saw for ease of access.

It doesnt look as though you could. That toilet basin seems very close to the wall.

Really interesting part of the bottom video at around 3 minutes, after he's asked the officer not to mention Shauna by name. He's then asked to discuss more about his written statement. He asks "You want me to go into more detail?" She says yes and he replies

"obviously I SHOULD be able to go into more detail"

To me it sounds like theres a bit of emphasis on the word "should" as if hes thinking "oh yeah if I'm saying that I did plan/do all of this then I should be able to come up with more detail" and then possibly buying time to think of something.

His solictor then reminds me of the discussion they had before going in , presumably to say no comment. So I guess in that sense maybe he means he "should be able to discuss it" as in "his solicitor should allow him to?

Or, maybe those items were not in the bathroom originally. NM only put them in there afterwards to cover up some of the space, in case there might be something incriminating on the floor i?
although not sure that would explain the tuna tin and yoghurt pot, unless they were very recent additions.

Well there's plenty of places in and around Bristol - Ashton court for one

yeah so I'd have expected him to say he was planning to take her to Ashton Court or some other named place rather than the vague " a wooded area"

I bet theres a wall socket on the top of the stairs out of view to the left of that plug . The fit does look tight over the carpeted landing part but I think the bathroom is lino so there might be a gap where the lino meets the .. erm .. metal plate thing they put on the floor at the points were the carpet ends and the lino starts... can't think of the name lol
It's a very similar lay out to my own house. If there was a socket it would normally be on that bit of wall between the two doors. There is nowhere else to place one. Other then that there's sockets in the bedroom and at the bottom of the stairs

Aha, we can see a wire clipped to the bathroom door frame on the left . Is it some kind of extension lead?
That's the wire from the black thing on the floor. It's snaked around the door frame

I still think it looks like blue lino in the bathroom rather than carpet, but the biggest clear space I've seen in the house is the landing just outside the bathroom. He could have laid the car boot liner that wa sfound in the oven, out on the landing

Asked my other half and he looked at me strangely (he doesn't know my sleuthing pastime). He says no it wouldn't fit and you wouldn't need to use a saw anyway

I was thinking the square piece of carpeted area you get at the top of a row of stairs, before you turn off onto the landing(rather than the stairs turning a corner . The area where it looks like that electric or phone lead from the bathroom is going to .

I've honestly had visions of him, while doing what he done to becky with the saw (I don't want to type it) then in between taking breaks & eating out that tuna tin & that yoghurt pot...

That was my first thought when I seen that picture, very chilling!

That made me chuckle. I have just been trying to thread an extension cable underneath our bathroom door and, in mid activity, OH came home and up the stairs without me hearing him. I got a very strange look indeed, even though he does know about my sleuthing pastime !

end result, couldnt get door completely closed

Hi, I've been following these threads from the start on here but only recently got around to registering.

This case is baffling me. There's definitely more to it and I don't believe SH is innocent at all.

We heard yesterday that they had cctv of "a large object" (presumably Becky?) being moved by TWO people at CML 5 days after Beckys disappearance. Is this Becky being moved to BC? And if there is cctv showing her being moved out, surely somewhere there's cctv of her being moved in? If it took two to move her out wouldn't it take two to move her in before she was dismembered and therefore the weight reduced?

He's caught me doing some random things over my years on this site and I dread to think what the police would make of my Internet searches if I or a family member disappeared. ..

So ive watched both links to the video now...not sure what to make of it seeing him in person now. I thought that I would immediately have a disdain towards him. But actually I felt a bit of pity for him...don't hang me for that...but I get the impression that he's taking the fall in part. I don't know, I think he is genuinely upset at points...I can't put my finger on it but I didn't feel towards him what I thought I would

Welcome! I've just recently joined too after following for a while. I hadn't anticipated how mentally draining it would be just following the trial online, lord knows how Becky's poor family are feeling being there in person to hear everything.

The large object I assumed was one of the suitcases. Not sure if two people had to physically lift it or if there were just two people there
