Wow. Such a disturbing read and yet nobody thought to get him some help? Who couldn't see that this was a disaster waiting to happen?
Reading all that tbh I am surprised he wasnt in the news before now. Someone said on this thread - I assume that they was from P eterborough that he wasnt known but by the sounds of it he definetly was. He also had to been in care quite a long while considering he had two parents not together.

Today, Watson's half-brother Andrew Bailey, 54, told jurors that he took him to the Neave family home on a couple of occasions.
Giving evidence, Mr Bailey told jurors he met Rikki's stepfather Dean Neave in jail and visited his house around eight times, he said.
Mr Bailey told jurors: 'We used to go looking around in his Toyota, we used to go looking for old cars and caravans we could strip down.'
Mr Neave was living with his partner Ruth Neave, her son Rikki and his two younger sisters, the witness said.
He told jurors that Watson and his sister accompanied him on the visits 'a couple of times'.

I'm so confused as to why they aren't sitting everyday, at 1st was wondering if he was considering a deal but doubt that.. said everyday on old bailey that trial was sitting but not shown on law pages
Last week apparently was half way through and yet I think theres only been one sitting this week. If he had changed his plea it would have come out by now. I just feel sorry for the Jury as its going on so long. Are they even allowed to work when its not sitting? You would think they would work through so more cases can be heard but...nothing.
Maybe someone involved has got covid?
Thats possible of course but even before this week its been like a day here and a day there for weeks now.
The whole thing is just odd really,from the fact that it seems more like Ruth is the one on trial and Watson barely seems to get a mention even though he is the defendant right through to the sporadic trial sittings. It makes no sense to me.

Accused killer James Watson was 'spot on' when he explained to detectives where schoolboy Rikki Neave's body was found 12 years after he was murdered.
Watson, 40, is accused of strangling six-year-old Rikki Neave in Peterborough in November 1994, before stripping and posing his body in a 'star shape'.
He was arrested after sophisticated technology found a 'definitive match' between his DNA profile and samples taken from Rikki's clothing when a new investigation was opened into the case in 2015.
Today, jurors heard the transcript of a police interview conducted with Watson after he was arrested in April 2016.
Detective constable Julia Searle was one of the officers who interviewed the defendant and today gave evidence at the Old Bailey.
DC Searle read out police questions while the prosecution read out Watson's replies.
One of the first questions Watson was asked on April 19, 2016, was whether he was responsible for Rikki's murder.
'No, of course not, no,' he replied.
The court heard that Watson was given a copy of the witness statements he made to police in 1994 and 2015 and asserted that they contained a true account.
When asked again about whether he was responsible for Rikki's death, he said: 'I'm going to go no comment.'
After a slew of no comment answers, police explained that answers from him would help their investigation.
Watson responded: 'I want to help you guys.
'I did a statement when I was 13 and again just months ago...when your colleagues came to reinterview me.

I dont really understand why its at the Old Bailey. Maybe the trials are different there I dont know. I dont understand why it couldnt have been at Peterborough or even Cambridge Crown court. In the recent trial of Bethany Vincent and her son that was at Lincoln court and that was all over within three weeks whereas this is heading for two months now.
I hope this is ok. I assume this is the Crimewatch show he is talking about that was in 2015 Rikki Neave murder: Sister makes Crimewatch appeal - BBC New. So at this time he was in North Sea Camp which is an Open Prison and has been in the news here recently as a sex offender prisoner escaped and went on the run for a week or so. At one point he himself went on the run if i remember correctly abroad somewhere so he must have been released from that sentence before getting arrested for Rikki I guess.

Looks like Watson is on the stand. I'd have bet against him giving evidence.

wasnt he on the stand last week or was they just going over statements he had made earlier? I THINK this is supposed to be the last week but how long this has gone on I wouldnt bet on it
