Keys may solve riddle of man found dead in river
''Police are urgently appealing for help to identify a man after his body was pulled from a river.
The unidentified man, believed to be in his late 30s to early 40s, was found dead in a river in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa on Friday, May 15.
Officers were called shortly before 6.25am after a passerby sadly reported a body floating in the water.
Fire crews attended and his body was recovered from the River Leam.''
''It is hoped the distinctive key rings will lead to an identification as officers try to understand what happened.
The cause of death is not yet known but police said the death is currently being treated as suspicious.
He was described as white, of medium build, clean shaven and with blond hair and blue eyes.
He was found wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood, a navy blue long sleeved England football t-shirt, black Lonsdale tracksuit bottoms and grey Hi-Tec ‘Exodus’ trainers.''
"I would urge anyone who thinks they know who this man might be, or has information that could help with our investigation to please get in touch.”
Anyone who recognises the description of the man and thinks they may know who he is, or has information that could assist with police enquiries is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 35 of 15 May.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org''
