A major search is under way for a 22-year-old woman who is missing from an adventure holiday centre on the Isle of Wight.

Rosie Johnson, from Glasgow, was last seen at PGL Little Canada, Wootton, where she works, on Sunday evening.

She is described as slim, with mousey brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark blue puffer jacket and trousers.

Police officers, coastguard teams and search and rescue (SAR) teams are conducting searches in the area.

Major search for woman missing on island

The boyfriend of a young Zoology graduate who went missing on the Isle of Wight two days ago today begged for help to find her.

Police and volunteers are looking for Rosie Johnson - who went missing from a LittleCanada PGL Adventure camp in Wootton, on the north of the island near Cowes.

Miss Johnson is a Zoology graduate from the University of Glasgow who was working as a field studies instructor for PGL since February.

She has now been gone for over 48 hours and has no phone or cash on her, police have said.

Her boyfriend Brendan Storer posted the appeal by Hampshire Police on social media with the message: 'Please please please share'.

Streetview of the entrance (could be more than one). Security gates and CCTV.

ETA: Pic has come out too small to see CCTV etc. Should be viewable from the link.

Certainly looks like that's the only vehicle access. Not sure whether the PGL is fenced in? Would have thought so, it being a kids activity centre. If not, the back of it is on the river.

He might have to be our honorary local sleuth @meanmaryjean ! I know nothing about the Isle of Wight but am checking out maps now. I'm sure there are a couple of south-coasters in our midst.

Ah, but he married my daughter and moved to Indiana!

For the rest of us- know that IoW is a very touristy area and hosts festivals throughout the year. The only access is by ferry (the 'floating bridge' is a ferry despite its name) and the ferry service is semi-reliable at best. Also expensive.
