My suggestion is that the killer was taking SN to his car until he realised it was too risky or he saw someone walking his way. He decided to hide her under some leaves to collect later or until someone found her.
I think it was targeted and the murderer was known to S - or hired.
Most murders of women are committed by partners/ex partners, unfortunately.
Random attacks happen of course, like robberies or sexually motivated ones (rapes, sometimes ending with death).
The Met are now asking people who have a connection to Kent especially to see if they know who the man in the CCTV is. They say that he was seen by people to be carrying a reflective object and trying to hide it up his sleeve.

Met Police chiefs say "urgent enquiries" are continuing to identify a man seen on CCTV shortly before the murder took place.
Interesting. So the Pegler Square CCTV was from before the attack?
Two men have been arrested and released under investigation. Police say they are "content that neither of them is the man shown in the CCTV footage".
Also interesting. Those two arrests are the most confusing part to me. Without those it would, very sadly, seem to be a stranger murder IMO.
Officers are 'content' that neither of the two men who have been arrested are the man shown in the CCTV footage.
Detectives continue to appeal to identify man in Sabina Nessa murder investigation
If as stated the cctv was before the attack ... what's the chances of this person not knowing she was on a date that evening...hanging around the pub area then leaving and ending up by her flat ?
As for the red/orange object, it looks like a bandana to me. The comment "Officers retain an open mind as to whether this was used in the attack on Sabina" is telling.
"Used" is a very different concept from the taking of a trophy that people have suggested on this thread and makes me think she may have been strangled.
And he seems to look away just as he reaches the CCTV camera, but he can't hide that bald patch. I think if you knew him, you would recognise him. I hope someone comes forward asap.

ETA: Sorry, I was referring to this link but quoted the wrong post: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent/n...s-appeal-to-kent-to-identify-cctv-man-254621/
I am just wondering if the comment about just before the attack is a reporting error.
And if it turns out this is another stranger attack on a woman at a normal time of night going about normal activities then we need to have some more serious conversations about women’s safety because this is just bull***t.
