Found Deceased UK - Samantha Eastwood, 28, Stoke-on-Trent, 27 July 2018 *Arrest*

I was just perusing that same box, think we're on the same wavelength here.

What makes you think that? Is Samantha or KS openly bisexual?

I mean, it's a possibility but way, way down the list for me.

I am glad that they found her. Obviously its terrible that she has been found dead, but the only thing worse than having a loved one murdered, is having a loved one murdered and not finding the body.

They can give Samantha the funeral she deserves and they can create a fitting final resting place for her.

I was really afraid that they would never find her, and her family would be left in that terrible limbo for the rest of their lives.

You know, I was really hopeful that she might have just needed some time out, the wedding dress sale and going missing during daylight, a healthy young woman.
RIP Samantha. I'm so sorry.

I too, had a tiny bit of hope that Samantha might have gone voluntarily missing, but looks like police worked this out pretty quickly, again, they deserve praise for that and for finding her soon enough that hopefully not all the physical evidence will have been lost. Just am sick of hearing the usual story from the male in these events that "I just pushed her and she accidentally ended up with catastrophic injuries" or the "intimate consensual game went too far" rubbish. Hope that the post-mortem will give a clear idea of how Samantha was killed so that the person responsible will not be able to get away with it. Also hope they will check if she was pregnant as we know that statistically this is a dangerous time for women as some men are very stressed by this.

Clearly there was some sort of dynamic going on here that led to such a tragic outcome. Takes something fairly substantial to call off a wedding and we know that the ex's married brother-in-law continued to spend time at Samantha's house working on a summerhouse. Just speculation. Am relieved for the family in this worst case scenario that she has been found relatively quickly and they should start to get answers.

It can just be second thoughts, though. The realisation that you don't want to spend the rest of your life with that person after all. Perhaps there was something crucial that they didn't agree on - having children, for example. It takes courage to stop the wedding machinery once it's in motion, but look how many people live together for years, get married, and then split up within a year or two.

Samantha's family have thanked all those who have supported them over the last week. In a statement they asked for their privacy and said: "We would like to say 'thank you' to all the people who followed Samantha's story and tried their best to help."

I suspect this is the salt quarry that is mentioned as being where Samantha's body was found:

I'd hoped for a different outcome in this case :(

According to the Daily Mail, MS’s Dad is 60. Utterly devastating for the family.

So these people would have been Samantha's sister-in-law, brother-in-law and the sister-in-law's father-in-law if the marriage had gone ahead?

There's obviously some background story to come out about this.

Apparently not the future sister-in-law, since three men were arrested. One of the men allegedly is her husband, the other man is his father and the third man is .... ?

When should we expect an update from the police? They must have got an extension on the arrests as there is no word of charges or them being released.

He was held for 24 hours last week - so they have, potentially, another 72 hours remaining.

Will be Tuesday PM when time runs out - although I expect we will hear something before then.

The other 2 men - clock starts from beginning I think, so Wednesday PM for them.

I would hazard a guess, MS’s sibling.

Possibly both the Dad and brother helped him to cover up the crime, conscious or unconscious of the fact a crime has been committed.

A possible scenario, MS on the phone, “Dad, something crazy just happened. If anyone asks, can you .......”. Or worse ..... “Dad, I just killed someone, can you come and help me remove the body?”

Considering his parents’ home has been visited upon by the police, it may appear that his father and/or sibling had more than just lied to the police on his behalf ... Possibly they helped to dispose of a murder weapon ???

I wasn't suggesting the would-be sister-in-law was one of the three people arrested, merely that she was one of three people named in the article.

Sorry for the confusion.

As another poster had suggested, i feel that the other two men were not actually involved in the cause of Samantha’s death but rather in the aftermath and coverup.

Unfortunately, this is panning out as I suspected. It didn't take long for police to arrest MS on suspicion of kidnap, surely a tip off? (If they had concrete evidence - CCTV, forensics etc - they would have charged him).

I believe the police were following up a strong lead(s) from the start and deliberately seeded selected information to the media (just unfortunate that some people are too ignorant, lazy or stupid to assimilate the facts before posting on SM).

I wonder whether SE called off her wedding because she had feelings (or full-blown affair) with MS? Maybe the ex's mother's empty house was another place they used to meet? Maybe she called it off and MS couldn't take it? Or she discovered she was pregnant and he panicked? (One thing that has struck me is that she seems larger in the CCTV image than she appears in all the other photos - appreciate the images could be from some time ago, but even her wedding dress looks about a size 14. Having said that, it could just be a bad angle).

But maybe she just had cold feet about her wedding and was happy being single, and MS flipped after she spurned his advances. I find it hard to believe that the timings of the wedding dress going up for sale and MS working on her garden are purely coincidental, but this doesn't negate the last hypothesis.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the rambling stream of consciousness - I don't get the opportunity to post very often so tend to store it all up then splurge!

I feel very sad for her family and friends, but as others have posted, I'm glad that her disappearance has been solved quickly - however horrendous - and her body has been found.
