bbm That would mean they didn't go on holidays? Did LE stop him from leaving right off the bat?

I would say so. I wonder if the intended holiday was to Whitby

Prosecutor confirms charge
The prosecutor has told the court the charge relates to an alleged murder between July 26 and August 5.

"Bungling prosecutors and court officials slipped up by getting the dates of his offence wrong on the charge sheet."

Correction: Bungling Sun reporters slipped up by misunderstanding legal protocol.

...maybe the two grew close whilst MS was undertaking this work or it was an excuse to be spending so much time with SE and they had been romantically involved for sometime.
.... police were asking for cctv footage in that area for 10-11pm on the day SE went missing, yet it was reported by neighbours that MS and KS left to go on holiday the same day an police arrived twenty minutes after
.....SE mum put a Facebook post out saying SE was in a Man's car but doesn't know where?! is this where the kidnap arrest stems from?!

Possibly he had a massive crush....she was a single female and, in his mind, now 'available'. He may have offered to do the garden job or she may have approached him on the basis of 'mates rates' and/or 'better the devil you know' (unfortunate choice of words) which is something lone females have to consider when getting work done on the house. Perhaps he tried to take advantage, couldn't take "No!" for an answer and she threatened to tell his wife. That 'shed' is a bit peculiar though??
I don't know how quickly police can pinpoint mobile phone locations but perhaps, since they were on his case within hours of her disappearance, they managed to locate his phone as being in the vicinity of the quarry on Fri evening. Quite possibly the police tried to contact him on Friday evening and he had agreed to return home to assist with their enquiries. I mentioned in an earlier post that he may have taken wife/child on holiday then slipped back that Fri evening, lying to his wife that he was going back to support her brother JP. They were seen the following morning going house to house. He used the time (Fri night/early hours Sat) to cover his tracks, at some point involving his father and A.N. Other.
Perhaps SE's mum was using Facebook to fish for sightings of MS with SE.
By all accounts SE was enjoying her life, had plenty of female friends and supportive colleagues and was a thoroughly professional midwife. I find it hard to believe she would want to become involved with anyone, having recently left a long term relationship - and certainly not one so complex with all the consequences for MS's wife and child and JP.

Still cannot understand how he left her family and friends for 8 days without confessing

Because he thought he could get away with it.

Experts to analyse Samantha's neck - but there could be a delay with the results
A preliminary post mortem has not revealed evidence of gun shot or stab wounds. Experts will analyse Samantha’s neck but the court has been warned it could take six months for the results.

Two experts needed
Mr Hankin says two different experts need to assess the neck structure which will cause a delay.

Next court date set
Stirling will next appear in court on October 5 where he will be produced at Northampton Crown Court. That will be for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Quite possible SE's colleagues know what kind of relationship the two had if any but were told by LE not to talk to media about it.

I guess one of those will be appointed by the defence.

Uh the neck - so they probably think he strangled her but decomp was too advanced to see it clearly?

Poor Samantha :(

As time goes on, I’m more inclined to steer towards the possibility that MS and SE were involved in an long term affair, which caused her to call of her marriage to JP.

We are now hearing that SE was “feisty” from friends and colleagues, when the only character references we’ve been privy to up to now have been highlighting her professionalism and dedication to her vocation. I’m also if the opinion that her work colleagues will be the ones that the police will be questioning more regarding her private life rather than her family. Nursing Staff create strong bonds over those long 12 hour shifts.

Something pushed MS to his limit, I’m believing it was an issue that threatened his domestic security rather than an argument over money.

If strangulation was the cause of death they should be able to prove intent right? Strangulation takes time ... several minutes where he could have let go but didn't. Add to that the threats beforehand ... This was no heat of the moment crime imo.

Another thought, did he have scratches on his hands, arms, face? SE must have fought back.

That sounds a bit like victim blaming.

That sounds a bit like victim blaming.

It really doesn't.
People make choices, and sometimes those choices lead to situations where they come to harm.

That said, I've read nothing that suggests that Samantha had any emotional involvement with MS other than the family connection with her ex. But we know very little at this stage.
