Most likely they were just glad to see the back of him & that he was now somebody else's problem. Would also have been much safer for the public as his duties would have been part of a team, or protection officer where he would have had to behave himself. He wouldn't be making traffic stops, or be in situations where he had easy access to women.

How is it even possible he got away with such behavior as routinely parking his cop car outside of schools to watch older students and adult women? Or stopping only women drivers to the point that other officers didn't want to ride with him? No disciplinary action on any of that? And then slapping a female coworker's butt? Isn't that sexual assault? What a miscarriage of justice - by LE, no less!
Toxic, macho culture there? Ribald jokes treated as stress diffusers? Wall of silence?
Yep.

I'm thinking he brought her to his abandoned auto shop with it's mazes and thick walls. No one would hear anything there and IF he was seen leaving, he'd have the perfect right to be there. Then took her (then deceased, so no noises from her) body to property he bought for disposal. Hence him furiously chopping up something and trying to burn her. I guess he didn't factor in how long it takes to completely burn up a body so that it's unrecognizable. It apparently took too long or her remains wouldn't have been found in the bag.

Anyone know how long it takes? We had a guy burn his wife, in a barrel in his yard, a few miles away, but unsure how long it took, or if he was even successful to reducing it to nothing but ashes (and teeth). I don't recall hearing about that detail.

That could tie in with investigators thinking he moved her body to his own car. So it could be

M20 to Hoads Wood where he raped and killed. But needed to get back home and someone might have found the body. So moved the body to the old garage - which would be on the route home. M20 on to Dover - up the road to the garage then onto the A road to Tilmanstone where he turned off to Deal. That would also explain why he went via Tilmanstone instead of the more direct coastal route to Deal from Dover possibly.

Then next day took the hire car back (after removing the plastic sheeting the night before and leaving it at the garage with the body) where he then picked up his own car. Ordered tarpaulin and tape online. Went to B&Q to get the builders bags. Then went back to the garage and moved the body in his car back to Hoads wood area and building a fire. JMO MOO

I have also just had a horrible thought about why he won’t give details. Maybe it’s worse than just rape, murder, dispose of body. Maybe he didn’t kill her straight away and kept her somewhere for a day or two. I wondered what the tape might be for. And that would also tally with the comment that investigators thought everything may have happened in his own car after he moved SE to his own car. Maybe she didn’t die that first night.

Horrible thought I know - but if he bottled out of killing her he would have needed to keep her alive somewhere and silenced.

Sorry - awful thought but I am wondering if he’s not telling because there is more that they don’t know - and only he knows. I hope it wasn’t a long ordeal. JMO, MOO

Link here. Also in this report it says it was tape strong enough to hold carpets down that he bought on 28th Feb (not plastic carpet protector for wrapping seats).

“Detectives now believe Everard was transferred from the Astra to Couzens’ own car, somewhere by the Kent coast.”

How a white Vauxhall Astra led police to Sarah Everard’s killer

So if she was transferred to his own car he didn’t leave her at Hoads Wood- she was still in the Astra - either dead or alive. And he transferred her to his own car that night possibly on his way home (the car hire place is on the Kent coast - assuming he left his own car there)., So got home in the Astra without her in it. Took the Astra back next morning and picked up his own car with her already in it. Then - maybe to Hoads wood? Or elsewhere first.

Are you seriously saying you want to see a picture of where he burnt Sarah’s body???

Have followed the case from the start and missed that bit because I was away So yeah I'd like to see it to make my own mind up whether or not it's genuine evidence...

I'd also like to see the bus dash cam cctv images but doubt they will ever be released to the public

Still seems bizzare for a 1 man operation that his car was left there probably in the Garage in Dover ready for the change over ... If that's the case maybe the wife never even knew about the hire car he told her he was heading to work and instead went to the car hire place in dover

I am extremely glad to see that he has plead guilty. Thank goodness her poor family won't have to sit through a trial.

So many things I wonder about - such strange behaviour to say his father was buried there. I agree, they should dig it all up.

Im still wondering what the police were extensively searching for across so many locations. Very surprising that they didn't locate her phone, I thought for sure they would have.

Very curious about the searches that took place in Sandwich, since I don't think anything has been mentioned about this location.

I can't find the article now, but I know that it was reported that it hasn't been disclosed yet what, if anything, was found during the multiple searches related to the investigation. They have specified that her phone has not been found

I seem to remember that WC's excuse to buy the tarpaulin and big bags was that he was building/renovating a swimming pool in the yard. Or maybe Im mixing it with another case. Oh, well... Another thing - some articles say he met his Ukrainian wife in Switzerland (which I doubt) and other say he met her on Dating site. I bet he was browsing foreign dating sites to choose a foreign wife who would be absolutely dependent on him.

He would have burned it I would imagine

Yes I know the fire photo would give an idea of where it was - it wasn't allowed to be linked on here though as not MSM. Yes I don't think he told his wife about the hire car. Set off in his own car as if for work. Left his own car at the hire car place when he picked up the pre booked hire car. But coming back is something else. He went home in the hire car. She would know then surely? See it. I guess he could have just he'd broken down the night before and the car was towed to a garage and it was a courtesy car or something. Seems a hard one to explain away though.

Yes I seem to remember that too - digging a pond or something in the back garden. He already had a few builders bags though with stuff in.

The fire photo was on Snap map for a while before it was deleted

Yeah seen it now.....Pretty harrowing stuff if that's her.. which I think it is..
Seems like a teenager or young person who posted it so could be the son of the guy who reported seeing him with an Axe who knows..

This case has driven nuts from start to finish ..Now that he has admitted murder why are they still holding back loads of information from the public

Seems to be that WC was unraveling by the minute. For the amount of time he had from the abduction to arrest, I was surprised that SE's charred body was ultimately located in the water (builder's bag found in a woodland stream). And all that time searching in the water, I believed investigators were searching for a weapon. MOO

Metropolitan Pc Wayne Couzens pleads guilty to murder of Sarah Everard

A lot of information in this Guardian timeline

"Three days before he kidnapped and murdered Sarah Everard, PC Wayne Couzens took a decisive step in his path to committing his crimes.

He hired a white Vauxhall Astra from Enterprise car hire in Dover, Kent, which he would use in the crimes. But as he went through the process of hiring the car, he made a crucial error that would lead to his detection and capture.

That day, 28 February 2021, the Metropolitan police officer also bought a roll of self-adhesive tape, strong enough to hold carpets down.

In the evening, Couzens went to a south London fast food shop where an incident led to him facing allegations of indecent exposure which are still under investigation."

"By Tuesday 9 March, detectives had enough to move on Couzens. At 7.50pm Couzens was arrested at his home address in Deal, Kent. His phone had been wiped of all data.

Because of the faint glimmer of hope that Everard might be alive, an emergency interview was authorised, without the need for a solicitor to be present.

Arresting officers recorded the bizarre interview given by Couzens on their body cameras. He was shown a picture of the missing woman, and at first denied knowing her. But then he changed his story, and came up with an outlandish pack of lies."

Metropolitan Pc Wayne Couzens pleads guilty to murder of Sarah Everard

"Even though Couzens’ phone had been wiped, cell site data linked him to the abduction and the area where Ms Everard was eventually found.

Not only was his device located there in the early hours of March 4 but also in the days leading up to his arrest."

That bit in your link confirms that he was at Hoads Wood in the early hours of 4th March. Assume by that they mean after midnight? If he was at Tilmanstone by 1am.
