Just to clarify, the parents of SE’s partner state on public forums that they live in Kent. Neither his Mother or Father are serving Met Police officers (according to info in public domain, Facebook, twitter etc)

I find it strange that this small dark car turns onto Poynders Road around the time SE was last seen. How can this person not have witnessed anything?

Question for Londoners... Do all Met Police wear uniform? Always travel in pairs? Drive unmarked vehicles?

No they do not all wear uniforms. Detectives don't. and they do use unmarked cars. But I suspect in an abduction a marked vehicle or uniform would help.

A legit badge would probably do it...

The articles imply she was arrested at the same address/residence, so I'm thinking it's more likely to be a sister, girlfriend/wife, or mother.
Gotcha.

STOP IT!

Here’s the thing. If this thread gets shut tonight because you lot are talking about family connections which is against TOS until/unless a suspect is named, there’s a good chance it won’t open until the USA based mods wake up tomorrow, so about 2/3pm our time.

I would strongly advise you to delete your posts immediately. The rest will no doubt be deleted by mods and I’m sure nobody wants to be put on a thread ban right now.
how do you delete?

Could she have been on the phone w BF and says she has to hang up because a policeman is waving her over.

So what's up with all the slogging around in the Clapham ponds for, then?

I have never thought the perp knew her and I still don't.

I wonder if the police officer lived in the flats on Poynders Rd? Perhaps she was going back to meet him and something happened inside

Shocking did not see this coming

This is unbelievable.

We do not know yet whether the police office was on duty at the time Sarah went missing.

Came here to say exactly this.

IF the police officer is involved in the disappearance (and not some other accessory type crime after the fact or even before), then wouldn’t it make more sense that he was off duty so dispatch wouldn’t know where he was/what he was doing?

Just my experience as an American defense lawyer, but I would wager the person arrested is either suspected to be responsible or deeply involved. You don't arrest people at midnight for obstruction or not being the most cooperative witness. There's a real urgency if you're getting a call at midnight.

He could have been arrested hours ago.
LE have just released the info that's all.

Well they said this was a "complex" case, but this wasn't even on the radar. This is up there with the most shocking news I've ever heard.

I get a feeling the events tonight are based on the activity we've seen today.

Use the edit function and backspace to remove the posted info. The just type in DBM so the moderator doesn't have to break in to delete the post

May I ask - how do you know it turns onto Poynders Road, the camera only shows a car already on the road. And why is it any stranger than the other cars?

Adding some images for those unable to access to archives from the Traffic cams. The map shows the camera in relation to the red warning area the police have cordoned off. I believe those turning right in the images would be turning onto Poynders Rd.

An opportunistic perp unknown to SE who was on foot is logical but in an area with so much activity? Something just isn’t adding up.

it’s very quiet at 9:30 isn’t it? Much quieter than at other times, before and after

There's an "edit" under your post that you can hit and delete, Just put DBM ( deleted by me) so it goes through.
If your post has been up for a long period of time, just report yourself and they will remove. Explain why. They're pretty good about this. IMO

there were few of connected searches going on at the same time. It felt like they were closing the ring...
