Unfortunately I doubt that. They deal with homicides and other serious crimes.

wonder what makes them think it could be a murder case? they must have found something to point them in this direction

I also think this has a complex nature because it occurred in a location with a lot of people, some transient, some subletting, some renting, airbnb, hotels etc. It can be very difficult to piece together information. Like the case of Andrew Gosden, who went missing in central London, people said how can he go missing where there is so much CCTV, but when there are a lot of options of what could have happened it can be overwhelming.

Yes good point. It can be no easy task.

I keep thinking about the Brixton Water Lane interest. It's too far for her walk home. Leads me to believe they are chasing some kind of lead/activity so I'm inclined to say they have more footage of something yes.

Are you thinking that they could be interested in the movements of someone who lived in the Brixton Water Lane area?
Perhaps someone Sarah might know?

Do we think they have CCTV from further along the route than the Poynders Road/Cavendish Road junction and Sarah's not on it?

Obviously obtaining and reviewing CCTV footage is very time consuming but you would think by now they would have managed to get something from the second half of her assumed route home?

I’m hopeful, but some CCTV cameras are either just a dummy/deterrent, or working cameras may be overwritten (depends on the capacity of the DVR that the footage is saved back to).

Could it be another theory in terms of disposal, given that road leads to the top of Brockwell Park, which we believe has been/is being searched? Similar to the continued searching of Clapham Common, and possibly Tooting Common (if that’s connected to the same investigation?).

I see what you mean, that it was possibly beyond this point. There's likely CCTV whichever way she went home, such as at the Londis (Londis Clapham Park) and beyond this at the Tesco express, so if she isn't seen on more her route extent could be assumed by a process of elimination. Agnes Riley Gardens is a potential location of an attack, not very big but quite isolated. I think they will find something soon.

Do you think she could have made it home? Possibly encountered an intruder?

Quite possibly. Or following a car's movements.

I hope they have got that info to the police by now. Surely that would merit a 999 in the circumstances.

Remember that anyone can write a comment ,it might not necessarily be true.

I can't help thinking that LE are still looking at Clapham Common because someone (a witness) may have eyeballed a potential perp there at the time SE passed by there?
LE could be looking for potential perp evidence and not necessarily that of SE.

If she was spotted on Poynders road, the logical route home would have been via New Park Road (I’ve walked this route myself). It was only in 2019/2020 that those really big 360 cctv cameras were installed there (not sure what they are called?) so surely she must have been spotted on those cameras? The police also listed NPR as one of the streets to look out for. I wonder where she could have been headed if not to New Park Road or if she even made it that far? It all seems very strange..

Well yes, but many police tips are untrue. They have to evaluate their integrity themselves.

That’s true, could be searching for discarded property (of SE’s) or a weapon, etc. if they think a perp might have left back that way.

Sure, anything is possible, this is what happened to Joanna Yeates in Bristol but it depends if she has housemates or not. It's likely she will be seen on additional CCTV at some more points if she did make it home but it might take a while to obtain this. Police should be able to find out her approximate whereabouts by eliminating streets where she doesn't appear on cctv footage.

Undoubtedly they will have more information than they are putting out, but possibly given it is now 4 days with no sighting it is not looking good.

This is my theory too - that she would have used NPR up to Brixton Hill/A23. It would sadly seem very unfortunate/coincidental if SE’s phone battery died around Clarence Ave and then she continued on home undetected by CCTV on relatively main roads. Not impossible of course, and I’m hopeful obviously, but I fear she didn’t make it to NPR, on foot at least.

Oh that is worrying. I hope they've contacted police now as it says they are stuggling to get throught on a 'tip line'. What is that?
It takes police time to sift through the information on a tip line. This information, if correct, would be for emergency attention.

Bit odd that. She just casually tosses out 3 days after SE went missing, that she allegedly saw her over 2.5hrs after last sighting, and not saying whether she had already told police of this. Sounds like it is unreliable given that we have not had it mentioned officially.
Did she mean 11.50 am or 11.50 pm? How would you be able to tell if a person looked happy in the near pitch black? And why would anyone be passing the time at that hour?
