Alleged movements of Lacomba's car on October 10, 2018

A car was seen leaving Bazes Shaw in the early hours of Wednesday, October 10 after Sarah Wellgreen arrived home the previous evening at 7.57pm (October 9) - the last time she was seen.
Alison Morgan QC, prosecuting, explains the route the car, alleged to be Lacomba’s, takes out of Bazes Shaw towards the viillage of Stansted and where it is spotted on CCTV.
Jurors are shown the glimpses of a car travelling along the route from New Ash Green to Stansted between 2.13am and 2.20am. This is where it is seen along the way on CCTV:
Ms Morgan QC says the CCTV clips at Longview and Littlefields were the “best glimpses of the car”.
Det Sgt Warton said: “Once you get to the Hilltop area, there are a variety of routes that could have been taken.”
The vehicle is then not seen again for two hours,
At 4.20am, the vehicle is spotted coming the opposite direction at Littlefields and follows same route back to New Ash Green in reverse.
At 4.27am, it’s the last time the vehicle is sighted in Church Road.
Footage is shown to jurors of CCTV from 23 Bazes Shaw on the night of October 9/10 - at 4.31am, and event is captured on CCTV in the area of 32 Bazes Shaw. At 4.52am, a similar event is captured on same camera - described by Alison Morgan QC as a “reflection of light”. The prosecution said at the opening of the case, they believe it to be a car locking.

Specifically, at 11.18am he was seen getting out of the car by Serenity Court, Evelyn Walk by the water in Greenhithe before getting back into car at 11.22pm.
He initially stays in the car for a minute before getting out of the car.
The flashing seen on CCTV, jurors were told “appears to be” from locking the car, according to Det Sgt Wharton.
Lacomba parks on the corner across the road from the Serenity Court camera.
He walks away from the car and out of shot before coming back into shot, getting into his car, sitting in the car for a little over a minute again and then driving away.at 11.24pm

I'm puzzled now. Is this the evening of October 9 ? and did he drive there with the intention of putting SW into the water ? before deciding against that plan.
Or is this a few nights later - the night that we have seen reported in earlier msm articles, when they showed grainy pics of a man and a red car ?

“The first time this light comes on is 11.54pm and it stays on until just before 12.13am. It comes on later at 2.02am until it goes off at about 2.11am.”

I think it's clearer in the opening speech, it was 14th Oct:I'm puzzled now. Is this the evening of October 9 ? and did he drive there with the intention of putting SW into the water ? before deciding against that plan.

Danny George Wheeler, senior forensic imagery analyst with 13 years experience, is now giving evidence about the CCTV footage.
“There is no dispute that the moving vehicle is Mr Lacomba’s taxi? asks prosecutor Ms Morgan
Wheeler answers: “Yes”
The local authority taxi plate, “All Night Cars” printed on both front doors and the aerial on the top of the car were significant in vehicle comparison, the court hears.

In court, the car seen in CCTV footage is being described as Vehicle X, and is being compared to Lacomba’s taxi. Giving evidence, Mr Wheeler told jurors:
The car seen in the footage was “a similar size”
Its bonnet “wasn’t clearly visible but both appear to be quite short”
There was similarity in brake light, luggage compartment, the location of the registration plate and the sloping angle of the rear window
The front post had the “same shallow sloped angle” but the central post wasn’t visible

Defence questions witness on whether Vehicle X is the same car as seen in CCTV footage

“I am not directly challenging you in your conclusion that there is some support for vehicle x being a Vauxhall Zafira because that is what your evidence comes to.
“Not strong support for it being the same make and model and certainly not powerful support.”
Vehicle X was some distance away when passing the camera at Longview. You said that significantly limits the detail that you’ve got to work with. This recording was made at night which reduces the detail available to you.
She continues
“Is it the vehicle owned by Mr Lacomba? No one in the courtroom must make the mistake of looking at the images of Mr Lacomba’s vehicle and then looking at the footage in a biased way.”
“Everything you found as a similarity relates to whether it is the same make and model, not the same car.”
Ms Trowler questions whether the car in the footage actually had an aerial or a taxi badge
“The features that you identified could belong to other makes and models of vehicle” she asks
Wheeler replies: “Yes”
