GUILTY Uk - Sophie Lionnet, 21, Body Found Burned, Wandsworth, London, 20 Sep 2017 *arrests*

 • #281
Well I'm thinking it through. They had the confession and so there was no more need for the bath torture..

Sadly, I think this was planned because they could not come back from what they had done by then. She was too badly injured and they realised it only meant trouble for them once they reported MW. Sophie would be the police's first appointment, and how could they hide her? She could escape to a neighbour or out into the street while they went to sleep, and call the police herself, so they couldn't leave her alone for a minute.

It`s possible. But from their behaviour after the event...I don`t think so. They spent the whole night panicking and trying to decide what to do. SK phoned her family in France and was on the phone to them for a long time..apparently asking (begging?) them to come over.

Oh no! I think after spending three weeks in court * I`m * beginning to believe the story!
Gotta be more careful with the company I keep
What are you going to be like after you've listened to SK? :floorlaugh: I'm telling you, she's going to have you doubting everything you thought you believed. She'll probably have some kind of charm about her that she's perfected.

But...on the other hand...the timing`s a bit co-incidental....

...ooh and that sexy French accent. I`m a sucker for accents :blushing:

Probably a mistake, but if SK is effectively introducing evidence against OM with her testimony, then he'd surely be able to be retake the stand for rebuttal.

I'm just thinking out loud, I'm not sure how this works. And you'd think they'd wait until SK has finished (unless she already has).

Giving evidence in her defence, Ms Kouider said she was abused by Mr Medouni for years during their "up and down" relationship.
She said he slept with her in 2001 before telling friends about it, calling her "dumb", and slapping and kicking her.
She added: "He was with me for sex, nothing else, and money."
The court heard the couple split up after going to a party that Donald Trump was also at in 2011.

On splitting up with Mr Medouni, Ms Kouider said: "We did argue. He was always making me cry. I did not understand why his behaviour was like this with me."

[...]

Anthony Francois, from Paris, said in a statement: "She was strange. She could be lovable and she could be detestable.
"She would often shout and become aggressive. Her behaviour was difficult, incomprehensible.
"She loved attention."
He added that Ms Kouider was sometimes violent, and "pulled the hair of girls in the street" because of a "look".
During a police interview, he said: "She had a dual face, a dual personality. She knew who she targeted, in other words the weaker ones."
Mr Francois also said Mr Medouni was distant, cold and "insular".

A former boyfriend of Kouider’s, Anthony Francois, told jurors today that she had a “dual personality” and could be unpredictable.

Describing her as “aggressive and wild”, he said Kouider was “impulsive, moody, versatile and unstable” during their six-month relationship.

“She could be as loveable as she could be detestable, with no explanation for the changing of her moods,” he said in a statement read to the court.

I'm guessing AF's statement was part of OM's defence?

The pop star gave written evidence during the Old Bailey trial of Sabrina Kouider and Ouissem Medouni over the death of au pair Sophie Lionnet.

In a statement read to the court on Friday, Mr James said: “I can categorically state I met Sabrina only once together with Mark Walton in 2012.
“I have never lived in or near Queensway in W2 and was never involved in any incident with a crowbar. In 2013, I lived in Ealing.”

Yes, I think so. I'm guessing they cross-examined OM with the statement from DJ, and defence case rested with statement from AF.

[...]

He said she was "manipulative" and could "charm" and tell lies.

He claimed Medouni caused a scar on her back.

Earlier, judge Nicholas Hilliard QC told jurors that Mr Francois had refused to come to court to give evidence, so he could not be cross-examined about it.

A fashion designer accused of murdering a French nanny broke down as she told a court how she beat the girl with electrical cable after feeling 'betrayed.'
Sabrina Kouider, 35, also said she felt 'shame' after Sophie Lionnet, 21, got drunk on one occasion, and her partner and co-accused Ouissem 'Sam' Medouni, 40, had to collect her.
Kouider added: 'I was just really upset at her behaviour.'
She admitted that on one occasion she beat Sophie with electrical cable.
Icah Peart QC, defending, asked: 'What was the thing that made you do that to Sophie?'

She replied: 'I felt betrayed. I did everything good for her.'
Kouider broke down, before continuing: 'It made me so upset.'
Mr Peart went on: 'What made you pick up a piece of electrical flex to hit her with? And had you ever done that before?'
She said she hadn't, and that nobody had done it to her either.
Her barrister asked: 'How many times do you think you hit her?'
Kouider told the Old Bailey: 'Not many times. Her arms and legs.
'She was saying sorry.'
But she said Ms Lionnet did not cry, adding: 'I am the one, I fell down. I was just crying. Because I was having a panic attack.'
She said she phoned Medouni, who 'just said don't do it again'.
Kouider said: 'I was crying. I just told him, please just come. He did come.
'I told him I beat her up.'

This is her method. She admits hitting Sophie with the flex so that jurors will think she is honest and believe her when she says she didn't have anything to do with murdering Sophie.

Thanks Tortoise for all those updates.
LB and Mrazda - are your PMs going through...

Won`t repeat what Tortoise has kindly updated.
There were four journalists there today.
SK conversed mainly in English with a small amount of help, here and there from the interpreter. There was no fourth person in the dock as there was yesterday so who knows..
She spoke quietly and was composed in the main (I missed the part about the injuries she caused to Sophie and her crocodile tears). Bear in mind Peart for (gently) questioning her though. He bats for her...so none of the sneering, curt, abrasive, abrupt, accusatory manner that he had with OM.
Poor old SK - she seems to choose all the wrong men because she is a decent, normal, hardworking and personable lady .
The men in her life have abused her, lived off her, used her, controlled her...get the picture??
First was Antony who wronged her - he was controlling, abusive, wouldn`t let her see her family etc Then MW - likewise with a bit of the old physical thrown in. SK was so terribly afraid of him so she recontacted OK because she wanted him to "protect" her. But - guess what - he was nasty too! He slapped her, shouted at her, called her bad names, was late (when he was bringing K out to America to be with her while she gave birth to someone else`s baby, and saw the father MW beside OM`s back).
Oh..and he didn`t help with the rent to the tune of £3000 (while she got money from MW and £1000s in benefits). It * looks * like he did (presumably got bank statements to prove this), but actually he had borrowed £3000 from SK and this was him paying it back!!
It grated - because not once was his puppy dog devotion acknowledged.
SK employed Sophie because she needed a nanny as she needed to go back to work. Not that we heard any evidence that she * actually * went back to work.
The problems began in earnest in May 2017 when G first mentioned the house and strange man with the gun, who was going to shoot them. SK was ....:drumroll:..........shocked. And nobody believed her or took her seriously, even when she dragged Sophie into the police station. (Remember, after harrassing the police, she was offered a follow up appointment with them to discuss the allegations in more detail - a definite date - but didn`t even bother to get back to them). To be honest I can`t even remember exactly when the abuse stories began, whether those came on the heels of the "house/stranger/gun/going to shoot everyone story...
But it proves without a shadow of doubt that SK knew all along it was a total fabrication and a pack of lies. Bear in mind also that K was offered counselling through school for his s/abuse, but SK never took up that offer either.
There is not ONE shred of evidence that any of this fantasy is based on a grain of truth.

Also regarding Tortoise`s sharp eyed observation earlier on re witnesses, LB - I think it was you - you were correct.
Two witness statements were read out.
Antony Francois - as noted above - difficult, incomprehensible, craved attention, very strange, would pull girls hair in the street (as you do  ), took advantage of people weaker than her and knew how to suss them out - knew who to target, violent, aggressive, unstable, a manipulative liar...
He was 20 and she was 25 when they got together. He has not had contact with her for five and a half years.
He described OM whom he has not seen for ten years, as insular, aloof and discreet. He is aware SK told OM the baby was his.

Second witness statement was from G.
Didn`t like Sophie because she "stole mummy`s diamond". Then she "ran away". This was repeated a few times. Sophie tricked mummy". He also didn`t like Sophie because she "took me to a stranger`s house where there was a man with a gun".
He went on to say that SK shouted a lot at Sophie and that OM told her to stop but SK shouted "again and again".

Interesting where SK is currently residing!
BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) as we thought.
At the off the scale end.
