You deserve a medal Michelle, for listening to all that rubbish. She's even tricked her youngest son into believing it too. What a chaotic little life he had until then. And the older one. I hope they are getting help.

Actually I couldn`t listen to it all day! At break time (around 12ish), I took myself off for a walk and to salivate over the cakes on display in Paul`s cafe! Didn`t return until afternoon session.
How many lies and drivel can you listen to??

Maybe you`ll think twice about that medal:shame:

I hope SK gets charged with fraud too. Didn't she accept housing benefit but didn't pay the rent?

How anyone can even think admitting to beating someone with an electrical cord is okay is beyond me. Not to mention she then states it was herself in a worse state collapsing crying. Wow this woman is insane literally

It's all about her though. Never mind that she was the attacker. The whole experience had to be worse for her.

Yes I hope so too. She is a freeloader in every possible way.

Hope so - but from what I`ve heard our invalid quite enjoyed clubbing! The best clubs where she presumably frequented along with her fantasy A list friends don`t come cheap, I`m sure!

Mmm I don't understand the point of her swearing to tell the truth in court. I don't believe a word that's comes out of her mouth. Didn't she use her religion to try and defend herself from the murder accusation when being questioned?

It makes my blood boil when I look at the place she is residing in. Full time care, patting on the back, empathy, kindness, support, understanding...
Everything Sophie was denied.
This piece of work took the life of a young girl and destroyed the lives of two innocent children. (Why they were not kept tabs on by Social Services I do not know. They should never have been allowed to remain in her care. She screamed to anyone with half a brain cell, "Unfit Mother").
I hope sincerely the prosecution give her the full works and do not let us all down. That they do not pussyfoot around her.

Tortoise, I`m sure you are correct in why she admitted to beating Sophie.

Still don`t understand what the scars on her back are from. I thought it was determined to be from her "accidental" fall from the balcony. But there were references to a "violent boyfriend" (naturally).

Will her reference to Donald Trump be questioned? (C`mon Mr Prosecutor - let`s see her squirm as we all a good laugh).
Will she be asked to name the songs she "wrote and produced" for MW? Ditto above Mr Prosecutor.

OM - you stupid, pathetic, weak fool.

Don`t forget that she showered and shaved after she murdered Sophie to wash away her sins...

Well yes of course. That is all it takes to absolve yourself from committing murder. I honestly do not understand how her brain works.

Yes! She must be a narcissist. She reminds me of my sister, a raging Borderline narcissist. Loves to stir up drama and then make herself the victim, always, even when she's the one committing the violence! It's infuriating!

The prosecutor has got his work cut out for him with SK. Lying and drawing people into her fantasy world is her life's career. I hope he is being aided by a psychologist because I think SK could very easily turn the tables on him and make him appear to be victimizing her, so she gets the jury's sympathy. It'll be a piece of cake for her. He will need to employ a lot of skill.

That's why it has been so important to get the testimony of all her former partners, and fortunately they have the 8 hours of tapes too. It's very unusual to have bad character testimony but in this case it was absolutely essential. It will be a case of getting the jury to see how she manipulates, without the prosecutor looking like the bad guy.

Who goes first for cross? OM's QC may do the bad guy act for him.

Michelle ...

Has any diagnosis been stated in court for Sabrina?

Putting my devils advocate hat on -

If Sabrina genuinely does have serious mental health issues, as it seems she does ... I'm beginning to feel that the scales of responsibility are evening out.

Medouni may well be weak but, he's of sound mind presumably?

Were there agencies, social services for example, involved with the family?

IMO he will be a codependent personality. Which means that SK with her PD would have treated him very badly and he couldn't extract himself from the relationship - his self worth was in her hands. I say couldn't, meaning he was dependent on her love. When Sophie came along and SK shifted her focus onto victimizing her, (as well as MK) he may have felt some relief from not being the baddie in SK's life - so it raised him in SK's eyes to help her and join in with victimizing Sophie. He derived benefit from having a new victim in SK's life.

It doesn't excuse him, or either of them, but this was a toxic relationship of the highest order. There is a lot of information about codependents in relationships with BPD sufferers. He has to have had issues himself to have endured a highly dysfunctional relationship with her for so long.

It would be very interesting if after the trial there is a professional psychological evaluation. Perhaps they will prepare one for sentencing.

MOO.

Do we know that her diagnosis is BPD? Or is that an assumption?

I think I just get really frustrated by many cases (Jamie Bulger, kayleigh haywood) this one included, where people witness things but, do nothing!

The friend/neighbour witnessed Sabrina beating Sophie (is it the same neighbour who took Sophie into her home at some point?) But didn't report it to anyone.

Very quick check in as leaving for court shortly (12 o`clock start).
I believe medical report was handed to judge at the start but nothing yet made public. Maybe it will only be used for sentencing purposes.
Where she is residing at the moment - fairly unusual would think. She was in a regular prison for around three months before being transferred there.

I don`t think the cross examination is expected to last long....I have got a sense that this is an anticipation understanding...

She is being questioned by Peart as we know - he bats for her team so it is in her favour.
I think she will very quickly disrupt the prosecutors making it impossible to continue.
Manipulating to get the best of both worlds...
