Michelle seems to have gone AWOL.

Yes I was wondering why we haven't heard from her for a few days. I hope she is okay.

I noticed that, too. I started to post about it earlier but then I thought she may have been in court yesterday and today and was just too tired to get on here yesterday evening. Hope all is well with her.

She's probably sleeping in a pop-up tent outside the court to make sure she gets a seat in the gallery.

Phew, I've got to the bottom of this thread. I notice people have been posting a lot of details about the children (including a name, in one instance that was still up the last time I checked) that I haven't seen elsewhere. I'm just slightly concerned that some of this stuff will have reporting restrictions on it. The UK media haven't even been reporting that one of the children was a key witness, although I have seen some French reports allude to this.

Someone upthread asked about whether you can repeat things that happen in court when the jury and defendants are out. Nothing that's said without the jury being present is supposed to be reported while the trial is ongoing.

The judge and I need to brush up on our football rules :notgood:

I saw that bit, and I'm pretty sure I heard "yellow," although I could just be correcting it mentally.

The prosecution closing speech was very lively engaging, with paraphrases from Pride and Prejudice and Casablanca. He didn't hold back from playing up all the mad elements of the story and the defendents.

bbm If you remember which post that was could you please alert it so mods can delete the name.

Hi everyone, is there anyone here who could add updates in Michelle's absence? I don't know where to find updates or add them here. We are at a crucial moment in the trial and I am eager to know what is happening. Thanks in advance.

There is probably not much to update since yesterday. Hopefully the jury goes out to deliberate today. If I see anything I'll post it.

Thanks Tortoise. Yes, more than likely there won't be much to post at the minute. I am surprised at how little information is in the news really. To me it is an unusual and interesting case, yet there doesn't seem to be much media interest.

I do know that at the Old Bailey members of the public are not allowed to take in any phones or electronic devices, so we do depend on reporters for live updates at this stage of things.

Well, to my way of thinking, it shouldn't take them very long.

:crossfingers:

I'd love to hear more about the judge's directions to the jury. <<hint hint>> if you stop by Michelle.
