An older article which reads like SD may have been planning to meet up with other friends. Also states he was last seen at 10pm.
'Why would anyone hurt him?' asks friend of murdered oil worker Steven Donaldson
Callum Davidson's QC is Brian McConnachie ... no rest for the wicked eh!
The High Court in Edinburgh was told Mr Wilkie's relationship with the woman had ended in August 2017. She then began seeing Davidson's friend Dickie.
The following January, the woman's car was "smashed up", which allegedly prompted Dickie and Davidson to make the threatening calls.
Mr Wilkie said that during the calls, Dickie asked him to meet at the Peter Pan Play Park in Kirriemuir, Angus.
When prosecution lawyer Ashley Edwards QC asked Mr Wilkie to recall what Davidson said, he replied: "Callum was shouting 'You're getting killed. I'm gonna kill you when I see you'."
In another call, Davidson allegedly told him: "I've got an axe. I'm going to find you s***e bag."
Murder accused pair 'threatened to kill man with axe'
There’s definitely a pattern emerging.
Dickie and Davidson both have previous charges relating to dysfunctional relationships. There’s articles about Dickie assaulting another ex other than the one mentioned here.
It’s seeming more likely now that TG was also romantically involved with one of these two.
Previous victims must be feeling a sense of relief as it likely could have been any one of them. It was only a matter of time with these two men before it escalated.
Absolutely agree! On one hand, you might think that if previous victims had reported their behaviour to police then it might not have escalated but also, knowing our British ju8 system as we do ... the previous victims might have been too scared to report them.
Ninewells Hospital clerical worker Miss Matthews told the trial she had heard a conversation between Dickie and Davidson in which they said they were going to “go after Sam”.
“They were going to get Sam to give a girl a lift and then Callum was going to run him off the road,” she said.
Asked by advocate depute Ashley Edwards if there had been any information about where that might be done, the witness said it was to be on Kinnordy Road, which runs past Kinnordy Loch.
She also told the court of an incident when her mother’s car was damaged and Dickie thought Mr Wilkie may have been responsible.
“He said he was going to get Sam and chop his head off. He went out, got an axe out of the back of his car and then drove off,” said Miss Matthews.
[...]
“He [Milo the cat] had been outside quite a lot and got his back leg cut and it was really bad,” she told the jury from the witness box.
“Callum said he would take it up to his farm. He said he would clean it out, disinfect it and stitch it up.”
“I saw them kind of swinging the bag, Callum kicked the bag, they put it in the van and then they drove off,” she said.
“They said they would bring it back in a few days, he was just resting.”
In response to prosecutor Ashley Edwards, Miss Young said she never saw Milo again.
“They said they had let it out in the forest and it ran off.”

Also a bit from SW's Mum at the link.
Hopefully it made more sense in court. It does seem a bizarre thing to do.WTF! What???? Is Callum a Vet??? Why the hell would you give an injured animal to him instead of taking it to a Vet?
Woman accused of murder 'owed ex-boyfriend £3000'A woman who allegedly murdered her ex-boyfriend owed him £3000, a court has heard.
Witness Paige Jolly said her friend Tasmin Glass, 20, told her Steven Donaldson wanted the cash a short time before his death in June 2018.
She told the High Court in Edinburgh that Glass told her that her mum was going to give Mr Donaldson the cash because she did not want to meet him.
Ms Jolly said: "She said it was something to do about three grand of his money. He said he was wanting the money back and her mum was going to do it.
"She said she was going to transfer it into her mum's account so she could give it to him. It was so she didn't have to meet him."
The witness later told the court that she had been in a short relationship with Glass's co-accused Steven Dickie, 24.
She said that she got to know Callum Davidson, 24, who is also accused of Mr Donaldson's murder, during that time.
The court heard that before going out with Dickie, she had a relationship with a man called Philip Coventry, but the pair were not on good terms since their split.
She told prosecution lawyer Ashley Edwards QC that Davidson offered to "sort Philip out" if she gave him £400 - an offer she said had "shocked her".
