I'm lost for words. Why on earth would they let a murderer who used a hammer...have access to a hammer in prison?? Why not dish out some guns and knives to all the inmates for good measure?

They run workshops in prison. He probably just took an opportunity in carpentry class. Let's Hope or not hope that he has a "multiple particularly bad, particularly injurious, particularly traumatic and life changing incidents with the circular saw" .
