"Emmanuel Macron, the French president, has pledged solidarity with Britain.

His country suffered Europe's worst vehicle terrorism incident, when a lorry ploughed through crowds in Nice, killing 84 on Bastille Day last year.

"In the wake of this new tragedy, France more than ever stands side by side with the United Kingdom," said Mr Macron.

"My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones.""

********************************

"Australia's foreign minister Julie Bishop said: "We stand ready to support the British government as it responds to these attacks and our thoughts are with those injured and their families.""

Oh, man. Heartbreaking, yet again.
All my love to those in the UK.
When will this stop?!

And I pray the US media keeps their mouths shut when it counts this time.

London Ambulance advised they have taken 20 people to 6 hospitals. Tended to less severe on site.

Overwhelming messages of gratitude towards them for their quick arrival and immediate assistance have been posted all over the internet. Praise for the swift actions of the police continue as well.

"Facebook*| What is safety check?

When Safety Check is activated, users who Facebook determines to live or spend a lot of time in the affected area are sent a push notification asking if they want to check in as safe. They can then either check in or say the alert does not apply to them. Those that check in will send a notification to friends confirming they have been marked as safe.On the page itself, concerned users can prompt their friends to check in as safe. If they do not want to do this the page will also display when a user has last posted.Users in the area are also able to offer their help to anyone in need. Finding the safety check page on the Facebook app lets people "provide help" such as food, shelter and transport. The social network first introduced it in 2011 but until 2015's Paris attacks it had been used only for natural disasters."

Facebook Safety Check: What is it and how to mark yourself safe after London attacks*

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/03/facebook-safety-check-mark-safe-london-attacks/

"Facebook has activated its Safety Check feature for the London terror attack that has left at least two people dead and dozens more injured.

The feature allows users in the area to broadcast to their Facebook friends that they are safe, and for those concerned to check on their friends.

The Facebook page, titled "The Attack in London, United Kingdom", can be found here (https://m.facebook.com/safetycheck/the-attack-in-london-united-kingdom-jun03-2017/home/). People in the area can use it to "check in" as safe, and others can see which of their friends in the area have and have not checked in.

It is the third time the feature has been activated in the UK, following the Manchester Arena attack two weeks ago and the Westminster attack in March."

Take good care of yourselves and each other. Your compassion and kindness tonight on this thread was remarkable, as usual.

I have to head to bed.
