The judge explained that if he had handed specific sentences to George and Allen they would have been eligible for a third off their terms for pleading guilty.
They could then be freed after serving half their sentences.
As it stands, there is now no automatic release date for them.
Britain's worst woman peadophile Vanessa George could be freed 'within days' | Daily Mail OnlineBritain's worst woman paedophile Vanessa George could be freed at a parole hearing 'within days'. The child abuser, from Plymouth, Devon, was jailed for a minimum of seven years in 2009 after taking 64 pictures of herself harming babies and toddlers at the Little Teds nursery.
George, a qualified special needs coordinator, only ever gave scant details about her crimes to police, meaning her victims may never be identified. The 49 year old is currently housed at HMP Send near Guildford, Surrey, where she will make a bid for release at an oral hearing before a parole panel this month.
Just days after calling upon the new Prime Minister to live up to his claim of being tough on criminals by seeking longer sentences for sex offenders, Plymouth MP Luke Pollard has now sought support from the new Home Secretary.
After being told by Boris Johnson that it would be "wrong" of him to intervene in the release of Plymouth paedophile Vanessa George - despite her refusal to name the babies and toddlers she abused at Little Ted's nursery - Mr Pollard has now written to Priti Patel to ask her to prevent George's early release.
The former Little Ted's nursery worker, now 49, was jailed for a minimum of seven years in 2009 for disgusting sex crimes against babies and toddlers at a Laira nursery.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault by touching. She was also charged with making, possessing and distributing indecent images of children .
