Urgh just hearing Steve Wright has been questioned about this made my heart sink. I'd hoped we'd never hear about that horrible bastard again.
Fingers crossed there can be some justice for Victoria after all these years bless her.

Looking through older newspapers I came across this in the Daily Express dated February 2008.

Good time line of where he lived and when. Also mentions another missing person that we all know of but she's never been found. She used to work with Wright on the QE2.

I'd be surprised if Wright had anything to do with Suzy's disappearance, fairly sure he's been looked at and pretty much discounted.

I imagine the interview consisted of ''no comment'' on Wrights part. He hasn't even admitted to killing the 5 women in 2006 let alone this. Though he's been on my radar for Vickys murder along with a good 5 or so more in the area in the 90s and early 00s.
Hopefully some new info/evidence has come to light connecting Wright that the police haven't released to the public yet.

He may have been the driver of the white van seen in the video.

BUT, does Victoria fit the profile of Steve Wrights victims?

Do we know if Wright has any links to the Creeting St Peter area? I know he moved about between Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex

Well, a woman alone at night, but unlike the Ipswich victims he'd have had to forcefully get her into the car (it's not like we could even theorise about him offering her a lift that near to her home)

As far as I remember from the link in my post up from here a bit, there were similarities to 2 or 3 in the Ipswich murders.

That I don't know. You can drive from Ipswich on what we locals call the 'old road' through Needham Market on to Stowmarket. There a turn off to the right at Needham M that takes you to Creeting.

Sorry road numbers are something I have no clue on, even though I drive on them.

It's reported in a few papers that her friend heard a scream at one point, as did a neighbour.

Sorry don't have time to pull link down as I'm dash out but should be back in an hour, maybe less.

He can't go anywhere, can he? Do the cops interview him in Prison?

Normally they are taken to a police station within the vicinity of the investigating force. However, with a convicted serial killer they may have interviewed him at the prison.

Yeah I've seen that too, I just mean that it was different from Ipswich in that he could easily get them into the car and out of the way without any suspicion.

This arrest has surprised me, even with him living nearby, I wonder what new evidence has come to light that they didn't have for the last 15 years.

Yes, I understand that, but my point is that SW's known victims were sex workers, that was his 'hunting ground'. Do serial killers stay with their victim profile or will any victim do?

Yes, the MO was the same, but the victim profile is different.

I guess it's probably narrower than "any victim will do", but it could depend on whether he targeted sex workers because of their profession or because they are vulnerable/easier to get into a car etc.

Not all victims of Peter Sutcliffe's were sex workers, some were people who happened to be out at night. Maybe Victoria just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
