St Albans Crown Court heard how in one WhatsApp message Mrs Taylor said she felt like "beheading" her husband.Messages sent between the lovers in the weeks before the 69-year-old's disappearance include Mrs Taylor telling Mr Cannon: "I feel like going up there right now and [expletive] beheading him."

John Price QC, prosecuting, said: "You invite the jury to conclude that the two of you were trying to become sexually aroused by the messages.

A mechanic accused of murdering a millionaire farmer was at a wedding at the time of the killing, a court heard.

Gwyn Griffiths, 60, is accused of murder alongside Mr Taylor's estranged wife Angela Taylor, 53, and her lover Paul Cannon, 54. They deny the charge.

He said he was "100 per cent" sure he had not left the wedding in June 2018.

Mr Griffiths, of Folkestone, Kent, was asked directly by his barrister Brian St Louis QC: "Did you murder Bill Taylor?"

He replied "No" and said he had never been part of any agreement to murder the farmer.

When asked where he was between 3 and 4 June 2018, which the prosecution claim is when Mr Taylor was murdered, Mr Griffiths said he had been at his partner's son's wedding 14 miles away in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Mr St Louis asked him: "Are you sure you never left that night?"

Mr Griffiths said: "100 per cent."

He said he would not have been capable of driving anywhere because he had been drinking and celebrating the wedding.

He said he had met Mr Taylor several times, having worked on a wood burner on his farm, and he "seemed like a very fair man".

Mr Griffiths said Mr Cannon had asked him how much it "would cost to get rid of someone", but had not taken him seriously.

While visiting his mother in south Wales, Mr Griffiths asked people in a pub and figures ranging from £500 to £50,000 were suggested.

Mr St Louis said: "You know it's suggested you went out there to get a price for killing Bill Taylor. What would you say to that?"

Mr Griffiths said: " No.

So, PC asks GG what's the going rate to get rid of someone
GG says he doesnt take PC seriously
GG goes to a pub in Wales and asks what's the going rate to get rid of someone

He should give the name of the person he asked so they can verify that. Why would you even ask someone that unless it was serious? He says he didn't take PC seriously, but asks someone anyway. They are a bunch of liars as well as murderers IMO.

Do police know how WT was killed?

No they were not able to say for sure how Bill died, GG was at a wedding I would imagine with plenty of witnesses, Can't see how he could have participated in the actual death of Bill Taylor, not the dates they are saying anyway.

Court did not sit today and will not be sitting tomorrow

Maybe they asked GG, he said he would check it out but in the meantime they decided to have a go themselves. Torching the Range Rover then deciding to kill him themselves, or getting into an argument over the fire attempt and then killing him. Was he found on AT property? I now he was found in the river Hiz but not sure exactly whose land it was on.

He was found further north than ATs property. Here's the map.

Bottom left is Mill Farm (AT ) and he was found top right area of River Hiz.

Court is sitting today, Wonder if we will hear from AT?

Unless they know exactly what time Bill disappeared I don't think the wedding alibi will hold up - this could have happened at 3 or 4 am. He probably did it that night because people would have seen him at the wedding, then he disappeared while everyone else was crashed out from the drink. Strange to have a wedding reception on a Sunday night.

It's just not adding up for me,
Mrs Taylor, of Charlton Road, Charlton, is accused of encouraging Mr Cannon, of Pirton Road, Hitchin, to set light to Mr Taylor's car on 26 May 2018 when it was parked outside his home in Harkness Hall, in Gosmore near Hitchin.

St Albans Crown Court heard a white towel doused with liquid was wrapped around the steering wheel and an end placed into a green petrol-type can.

DNA samples from a partially burned white towel and a blue and white checked shirt recovered from the scene matched that of Mr Cannon.
So back on page 1 of this thread is a photo of WT Land rover so according to police AT and PC are facing charges for arson, the soaked towel drapped over the steering wheel column is black and burnt but a clean white towel next to it fails to catch alight, It also contains dna from PC and GF AT' s eldest son although he is not being charged with arson the petrol can fails to engnite and just for good measure PC leaves his checked shirt on the seat.

Angela Taylor, mother-of-four who is accused of murdering her wealthy farmer husband has told a jury the violent messages she exchanged with her lover discussing how to kill him were just 'rubbish chat',

Giving evidence at St Albans Crown Court today, she said the messages, which included highly sexual texts with lover Paul Cannon were 'meaningless.'

She told a jury they were sent when she was drinking and it was never intended they should be taken seriously.

'We were just venting frustrations out,' she told the court.

The court was told she married Bill Taylor in 1997
they had three children together - two sons now aged 19 and 23 and daughter now aged 22.

She said she had a son by a previous relationship who is now 28.

Mrs Taylor describes her marriage to the farmer as 'very difficult' and she said a lot of their problems were to do with his son Richard from his previous marriage.

Questioned by her barrister Mrs Taylor said her husband and his son had fallen out and it was a stressful situation that prompted her to move out of Harkness Hall in November 2015 to nearby Mill Farm.

She said there was a post nuptial agreement put in place and she told the jury '
I didn't want a divorce, he didn't want a divorce.'

She said the agreement was for the ownership a number of properties including Mill Farm and Dog Kennel Farm to be transferred to her and £10,000 was made available for renovation work to Mill Farm.

She said Bill Taylor's son Richard was not happy as a result.
After leaving Harkness Hall she said she continued to have contact with her husband and would take meals to Harkness Hall.

Mrs Taylor said she even tried to persuade her husband to move in with her and the children, but he wouldn't leave Harkness Hall.

She said throughout 2016 she was still in a sexual relationship with her husband.

Mrs Taylor said she first learned her husband was missing on the evening of Monday June 4 last year.

'I thought maybe he was in the fields and was late coming back in, she said.
