Mexico Unidentified US-Mexico Border Project

  • #221
I was working on a lot of other cases here on Websleuths I gave my heart to, besides the Mexico project...unidentified persons from the Netherlands, for example. So nothing happened on this thread...no posts from me.
Well, the truth has not been successful, tell me how can I help you?

Her sister is searching for her posted on https://www.facebook.com/ElBuscaPersonas/photos/a.116384988419207/2523204811070534/

Other names used Ingrid Yolani Cerritos Catellón and she has an ID with the name: Anabel Cerritos Castellón.

I wonder what her height is, couldn't find that on the site. There was this woman found in Brooks county (up the road inland from McAllen, Texas, who fits with the location and date found of this Jane Doe. Height is 4,7, we don't know that for the missing girl.

How should we get this across on the site her sister posted? It find it inappropriate to just "shoot" the Namus link in on there. @JusticeVIII could you do some mediaton? I don't know maybe they already checked Namus out?

of course, for now I have communicated with the person in charge of the publication, the problem I usually have is that they ignore me but hopefully this time it will be the exception. In the event that I don't have an answer, do you think I can leave the Namus link?

My advise....just wait...remind them once...no reaction....let it go....how stupid that it may seem....you can't safe everyone.....It just doesn't feel right to just send the Namus link, only maybe in a PM, not on the website in the open.

I see. Of course I will do it as you mentioned, if there is no answer and there is no reaction we will leave it,

Kind of disturbing story Where in the world is Skylar Peterson Tosic?

On Aug. 30, 2015; Tosic, 21, wandered off the Palomar College campus and disappeared seemingly into thin air. The mild-mannered student, known for a carefree spirit and musical tastes was last believed to be near the Wild Animal Park somewhere around the San Pasqual Agricultural Preserve that features broad farms and imposing cliffs.

“Skylar met two males at Palomar College, who we believe have some ‘spiritual’ beliefs,’” Olivia Tosic said. “We don’t know what those beliefs are. They go by the names Thaddeus and Eli.

“Skylar took an Uber to meet up with these guys, texted me that they invited him vacationing,” his mother said on Facebook. “He said they had passports and were ‘connected’(????). My son left with no ID, no wallet, no $$$$…. I’ve been terrified since his odd disappearance. Keep eyes and ears open.”

Before disappearing seemingly into the thin San Pasqual Valley air, Tosic reportedly engaged in a series of troubling behaviors. First, he lost a great deal of weight and went from being an attentive, engaged youth to a detached person espousing questionable religious ideology.

Just before disappearing, Tosic called a close relative whom he hadn’t spoken to in years, citing obscure scripture. Tosic told the relative he wouldn’t be talking to him again.

Tosic apparently took an Uber ride just before Aug. 30 to a spot along the highway near the park, about six miles east of downtown Escondido on the road to Ramona. There, he got out and disappeared.

Sometime later, Tosic was found dehydrated and passed out in a bed at San Pasqual Academy, a residential education campus for foster teens about five miles from the Wild Animal Park. He was returned home where he disappeared again two weeks ago.

Escondido police last year said they believed Sky had left of his own free volition and apparently stopped looking for him. However, police furnished no further details, saying only that they found the disappearance disturbing, but not something they could pursue further.

Sky Tosic is 5’11”, 100 pounds with hazel eyes and light brown hair. He has mouth braces and acne. Anybody with any information about his whereabouts or conditions is asked to contact Escondido Police at (760) 839-4722.

Reflecting on my explorations......... I think it's wonderful there are posters up for the missing persons, showing their faces, but what's important, and it's missing most of the time, is knowing the stats; hair and eye color, type of hair, height, weight, specific body traits, tattoos, personal belongings, etc.....I've seen a lot of family members with just a picture of their lost loved ones, but to be fair....sorry, don't want to be bold, but most of them will be found as partly remains, a skeleton...no reconstruction of the facial features made...DNA can help off course, but I don't have an idea on how this all works and what "the state of the art" is in Mexico, Honduras, Peru. El Salvador, Guatemala, etc. and if there is any exchange between countries......

Well, what do I tell you? around here we have that possibility.
but hey, for now I have not been able to find something that could help us, the guy with whom I sent him a message, never answered me (as expected) and now we are not stuck, also the other users apparently abandoned the project (since they did not appear again) what do you propose my friend?

On the background I'm learning...and learning more....searching.....painful but Hell Yehh...somebody has to do it. To be fair...I'm a bit disappointing that nobody joint here, it's been a while, but I know how it goes....lot's of other things in life that are important...we need to give attention to all that's around us....now...the living, our family...

I just posted on the site, in English....I want to know her height. I have to do a lot to understand Spanish, maybe there are people who want to take an effort the other way around....and hé. English isn't even my mother tongue.

@JusticeVIII do you know about the finds, the DNA. How does this work in Mexico? I read that people went to the MCallen Checkpoint...to ask if a family member is detained and they are redirected back to the consul of Mexico. How does this work? Please enlighten me.

Wow...30 people found. I'm so happy they were found. Possibly a few of the missing persons who went missing recently, were found in this house. Hopes up.............

30 people in their underwear found inside southwest Houston home in human smuggling operation

Police say they received a call about a man running down the street in his underwear yelling that he was kidnapped. The caller told police that he was kidnapped and was able to get away.
That's when the male advised that thirty more people were being held hostage in the house.
Officers made entry and rescued approximately 29 men and one woman.
Most of them were found in their underwear. Police believe that was a tactic used to prevent them from escaping. At least three people were detained and are being questioned.

Police say most of the victims were picked up from the Brownsville area within the last week. They are said to be from various other countries including Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras.

It is uncommon, they are not rare but it is not common to find places, where they do a DNA sample.
The way they work is that they use your fluids to determine who you are.

I'm still very interested! Just a bit overwhelmed with school and the upcoming holidays, as well as with the scope of this project. It just seems so broad that I don't know where to start/focus. But I'm still here!
