Can anyone helps @stryp out with some case examples please?

For example: Parents of a missing child goes on TV, pleading for help, but later they were were found guilty of murdering said child.

Does not have to be as specific as actually pleading to the public for help, but at least appearing in the media in some way under the pretense that they themselves did not commit the crime and that they want the guilty person to be found.

If there is footage available if the person in question talking about it that would be very helpful as well.
