Unorganized Searching

Ooo, I forgot to ask, can anyone post a map of the area being searched?

Thanks to all who searched! I was with you all in spirit..

Like others have said, I am with Tim & TES 100% BUT
I was extremely disappointed when I heard the search was being called off.
Also, I agree that it was in poor taste to continually mention the cost of the search. I know that I personally have donated 4 times in the last month.
I read that over 70K was donated for Caylee's search and I think that is probably a pretty accurate number.

I don't understand the sudden pull out, same as it happened the first time. It was said they were going to search up to a week, or until they found her. "And this search is going to go on until we find Caylee." TM on NG :(
Maybe he didn't mean it literally... I suppose my expectations are/were too high.

Between that and the jabs at Leonard, I feel kind of ... disillusioned.
I know TM knows a lot more than we do, and probably had his reasons for
saying Leonard was in it for the money/fame whatever ... but I feel like
that should have been between them also. At least Leonard is trying!

Again... Thank you Thank you Thank you to ALL who were involved. I saw ALOT of people come together as a community.. not just Florida, but all over the US and beyond, I'm sure- those who studied ping maps, searchers, people who updated here on WS and other sites, news & media, people who donated money, food & water and all who PRAYED for the search & volunteers.

There was WAY more to it than just TES/ Volunteers. We ALL contributed..
in our own way, I think. That made me feel good this weekend, even if we didn't get the ultimate prize, Caylee.

TES is a great organization! I would love to see them grow across the country/world. If they could be in every state they could help more people and with less expense. I volunteer for a non-profit organization and every year we have a fund raiser. This fundraiser was started by one man who lost his daughter to a deadly disease. Now, 25 years later, it is the largest fund raiser for this organization (billions of dollars). Its held in every state and even in other countries. There are alot of people on this site who donate money to TES, the problem is some people wont donate unless their asked. I think it would be perfect to honor Caylee by setting up the next base for TES in Florida. It wont happen overnight, but its a start. And their are so many people motivated in Florida right now that i think the timing is perfect to get something like this started.

Just an FYI, and I can't speak for anyone else, but I was out longer than 2 hours on more than one occasion.
All this bickering about who needs to eat what when and how people should have come prepared is taking focus from Caylee...which is exactly what Team Anthony and the defense want.

i agree with you here. which is exactly why i think it would have been better to figure all that out beforehand to avoid those glitches during the search.

thankfully, here it's just discussion, which is helpful in identifying issues to avoid in future searches, which isn't taking the focus off of caylee or aiding the defense.

And btw, our team had to take a POV, and we searched from 7 until 2pm without a break, so yea, we ran out of water.

Please understand I am not being catty! But why in the world if you took POV you did not take cases of water that was there for the taking so your team would not run out of water? Every time my team went out we took plenty of water and always brought some back. In fact I think I probably have 3-4 bottles in my car right now. There was no need for any team to be without water. It was there for the taking it's not TES's fault your team decided not to stock up on supplies.

Again not being catty just want others to know supplies were there all the time. You just had to walk over to the area and take what you needed.:blowkiss:

well, it should also be noted 7-2 is a lot more than 2 hours. my issue was with the people needing fast food 1 hour into a 2 hour search. a 7 hour trip would require a lot of water, and certainly also food at some point.

but 1 hour into a 2 hour search? at that point, suck it up and finish or just go home. i'm not apologizing for feeling that way. it's a dead little girl, not a treasure hunt for fun.

Alliances are strange animals.
On NG last week (we remember that mess) NeJame came out swinging at Leonard.
Ugly, ugly, ugly.
Leonard took it well and did not roll in the mud with NeJame as I would have.
Now we have what appears to be an alliance between NeJame and Tim.
How did NeJame get to Tim?
What trade off did Tim make with NeJame?
Hit me now if you feel the need, but something about this mess is not yet known to us.:

You are so right!! Bolded by me. **edited to say I'm talking about Tim and Leonard. Sorry for the confusion.

You know I think we are beating a dead horse to death again. I know for a fact there was more to what has been said and it is not my place to reveal. That is up to Tim to go public and I doubt he will.

Both men want very much to find Caylee just don't see eye to eye on the path to take. Thats life!!!:)

but nejame isn't finding another path altogether. he didn't change a thing. tim did. why is this? (other than other people needing his services, that's irrelevant in the tim/nejame discussion).

My teams never left at two hours we were there as longas needed and we made sure we had plenty of water for everyone!!!! People had snacks etc. If you didn't that was your own fault. They never promised water or food we were told to bring our own, why didn't you? I always started out drinking a bottle of water and with two waters in my fanny pack. One time felt like I needed water before getting back to the car and asked if anyone had an extra and had lots offered to me.

I think your team was the exception not the rule. Sorry this happened to you. By the way I toted everything you did and at times was in terrible palmetto tikets you couldn't see through and I stayed right up there with the group, most of the time waiting for others to catch up and I am 67 years old and have two artificial knees getting the last one this past January 28th. You are responsible for yourself and you let yourself down by not getting supplies before going into the woods. JMO:blowkiss:

Sorry I meant Leonard and
Tim.

I don't want to be snarky, but I think some people are going to find that statement out of line. Almost like your holding information over everyone else. It's fine if you know something, but you shouldn't put it out there where some people may feel hurt by not knowing certain things.

As always, JMO, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

i believe your post was meant for floridakatz and not myself. thanks.

agreed. the 'i have a seeecret and i'm not telllling' is just not the mentality needed in this case at this time. or, really, at any time. it doesn't work when baez does it either.

It's already started for central florida with over 100 members of TES. If you need more info, send me a message.

I myself, wasn't hurt by reading that statement but I was puzzled. I find the "I-know-something-you-dont" mentality childish, especially on a board where information is so coveted...jmo:)

GrannyL was trying to make a point that not all is as it seems. Some things need to remain confidential out of respect for the person associated with the post. Please don't make a mountain out of a molehill on this.

I was just reading some of the comments from searcher's over at David Lohr's blog on ID. The link can be found on today's media update thread.

How in the world did Nejame insert himself into this search? Holding a team leader's meeting at his nightclub Tabu? Spending more time on directing team leader's to send participant's who may bad mouth the A's home, than reviewing how to lead the search?
Sounds to me like Tim had his hands full and was being severely micromanaged.

I think this is great to hear! This is the biggest case that TES has been involved in, and I think a lot of the problems we've seen are due to the "growing pains" that are occurring right before our eyes.

I think TM would love TES to become very regionalized. In doing so it would greatly increase their presence, as well as providing clear leadership groups within certain defined areas.

I hope this continues and TES can grow across the nation so that their experience and expertise can be used in all 50 states.

Did you read the title of this Thread? FYI.

I like having a place to vent about a certain subject. As do many others.
