Unorganized Searching

I was at Murt's site and here when tim called off the search (for the lady from NC) she was there. Murt then got a call from LP to meet him in the park (we didn't know until we got there) and that was when LP said they would be doing a dive in the morning. For what ever reason the search was called off LP is still here.

As much as I appreciate what TES & LP are doing, it has been bugging me since this past weekend that I feel I need to make these comments.

With that said, I REALLY DO appreciate what TES stands for, but can see why little Caylee hasn't been found yet. Therefore, myself, my husband, AND his army unit of 6 will continue to search on the weekends and hope to bring this baby home.

snipped just to save space, Katz. Tim is a good guy, but he may not have been completely at home in the Florida woods/river/swampy area. He has done so much good, but he HAS garnered some criticism in the past, based on statements such as yours. In Aruba, he and his searchers destroyed the nests of some environmentally protected turtles, for instance, simply because Tim wasn't aware that the turtles WERE protected.

I think the food and water situation is probably best summed up in Tim's belief that people would bring enough water to satisfy their needs, and his belief that the many who had volunteered food and water would actually show up.

I understand that TM & LP had a falling out. But if TES and TM want to find Caylee, as they say they do, then why would they let some petty fight with LP stop them? So what if LP wants to run a "circus?" It's very easy to have LP barred from the areas that TES is searching. If they have problems, then let LP do his thing, while TES does theirs...it doesn't mean pack up and leave.

I still support TES and everything they do, but I think TM handled this completely unprofessionally.

Well,,,um,,,,maybe it is as simple as TM goes along with what CA wants, and LP doesn't????? And CA wants the search for a body to stop. TES stopped

Funny Story -

Not trying to make light of this case, but for anyone who was at the command center on Saturday, did you see the woman that had the little chijuajua dog on a leash with a search pack on it's back ? I'm standing there waiting to leave for the search area, and I'm thinking - is that little baby going to make it through the thickets and palmetto palms, and I wondered if it was cadaver trained. I didn't have the nerve to say or ask the woman anything. I didn't see her there on Sunday. Things that made me go Hmmmmmmm this weekend !

YES I DID!!! :woohoo:
In fact, I think I may have a picture...:waitasec:

I read a thread on another forum today from somebody who was there. Very enlightening. The poster said that TM was more interested in drinking and partying than anything else.

For everything there is a season.. .

I believe this is the season for healing. We've seen everyone vent, and rightly so. Now, what are we left with? We still have TES that does a great thing for many people. If they didn't find Caylee was it any BIG surprise? It wasn't to me. Yet, TM still helps those in need of it.

I believe it's time for everyone to put this behind them and come together once more. I could say THIS IS ALL ABOUT CAYLEE but I don't believe that's the truth. Caylee has been upstaged, first by her family, then by the "searchers", then by the chism that developed between all of us here. I now believe this is about love, understanding, and forgiveness. Note - I did not say agreement, I said understanding - in all of its connotations. I realize there are some people who may not warrant forgiveness just yet, but that remains to be seen.

In my opinion, Caylee is out of this, in a better place, and has been from the start of this case. I now believe it's up to the rest of us to unite and see that justice is done.

My opinion only.

I just want to say a couple of things. I was not involved in the search but I did donate. It seems that alot of people are saying that TM had every right to pull out of the search because of LP. TM has stated that this whole thing has turned into a circus because of LP. However, I find it out that he said that after he was backing out of the search. Especially when LP had been on NG every day speaking about the search. It didn't seem to bother TM then. Also, the comments he made about LP and NG have come a little late. Perhaps people wouldn't be so disappointed had he made those comments before LP and NG begged for donations for his organization. My point is simple, LP didn't do anything different from what he has always done. Play to the press. Why is TM upset now after the donations. It just looks like a cop out to me. And totally wrong to make it appear that LP is the reason why he stopped searching. If it was for another reason then he should say that, but the disparaging remarks about other people trying to help the cause leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Maybe this is too simplistic, but MN and TM were getting aligned before that last NG show.
Something strange happened.
I do not believe Tim could not handle having another person search, but something is wrong....going back at least to the last NG show.

JMO and I probably should keep it to myself, but this ticks me off!! Every time I was on this weekend, and the cry went out for more food/water donations, I think the majority at Murt's followers donated immediately. I donated to the volunteers! With Caylee not being found yet, and TES knowing that LP was having diver's coming in, I don't feel TES had the right to take any leftover water. Already tonight Murt has mentioned that food/water is needed for the diver's tomorrow. Maybe I am being petty, but I donated to the volunteers for their use, and the cases of leftover water should have been left for them.[/QUOTE

You can stop with the rolling eyes. I stated it was MY OPINION, and I am as entitled to mine as you are to yours. There is no need for being sarcastic because you don't agree with me. As I stated, I donated food/water for the use of the volunteers, not TES organization to take with them.

CourtsInSession: I had to go back and look to see what I had written to see what this was about. I found it at post 194 of this thread but for the life of me I cannot figure out how it got quoted with the icons and no words. I apologize as cannot explain how this got put in there. No harm intended.

Just found this:

Strait Talk with Texas EquuSearch's Tim Miller

*snipped*
"When I asked him why he suspended the search effort, Tim had this to say:

'I feel as though we accomplished a lot. Nearly all of the areas that law enforcement wanted covered have been searched. We generated far more resources than before. We now have 100 local members on the scene. They are capable of doing a good job and they are going to continue looking for Caylee. I challenge anyone to sit in my office and when the family of a missing person calls, tell them that they can't be helped until Caylee is found. Someone else can, cause I'm not going to do that.' "

And if another family calls while TES is working on that search, will they bring that search to a screeching halt to rush off to yet another one? No commitment to finish what they started before moving to another?
