What unpopular takes do you have regarding well-known cases?

O.J. didn't do it? Richard Allen (Delphi) is innocent? There's no "there" there when it comes to Epstein?

For me, my highly unpopular take is that Casey Anthony was rightfully acquitted.

I also think Casey was rightfully acquitted, and that her daughter drowned. And the public treated her parents horribly and in cruel fashion.

imo... of course.

That Jeremy Bamber would not be convicted today based on the evidence presented at the trial. Partly because investigation and evidence collection and processing techniques have developed so much in the past 40 years and partly because there had been long standing problems with police culture and corruption during the 1960s and 1970s which were still in the process of being addressed in the 1980s (eg PACE).

Note that I am not saying that I categorically believe him to be innocent, just that he would not be convicted today on the evidence presented in court. It's also possible that the DPP today would not consider the evidence sufficient for a trial in the first place.
