I explained that it was just a story I saw on the front page of MSN.
I also explained that if you google Pakistan News you would find pages of articles.
I also provided an article with quotes from a counter terrorism EXPERT

Yes, you did and thak you.

I was simply attempting to remind people that just because it's reported in the MSM doesn't make it true. History does have a way of repeating itself. There were no shortage of experts or senators that claimed in the MSM that Saddam had WMD.

IMO It reeks of manipulation when "experts" make extraordinary claims with zero proof or the media reporting it without asking the same tough questions about our own government. Why point fingers at all, especially when there is zero proof of such claims.

Does anyone actually believe Bin Ladin was out and about shopping and going for an evening stroll through the town? IMO He NEVER left the walls of that compound.

Perhaps there are spies and traitors within the Pakistan government. That happens here too.

I do not think he was out and about shopping. BUT when you have a compound much bigger than anything else in town, blocks from a military facility, wouldn't you check it out. See who's there. Esp since OBL was known to be in Pakistan from time to time over the years.

Sorry, I take the word from a former FBI Counterterrorism Expert on this one.

There is NO WAY they did not know he was there.
I'm sure we will be hearing A LOT about what they knew soon.

Who is "they"?

The US has been gathering intelligence on that location for atleast a year by all accounts correct? So who are these high ranking government officals that were aiding him? Surely the US knows who has been coming and going from the "mansion"...right? The evidence of such dealings & aid will be found on the seized harddrives or papers...right? Pakistan has rounded up more terrorists than any other nation thus far in the fight against terrorism. So.....why make such allegations without proof?

I don't claim to know the answers. But I do know...... I am not willing to be a sheep. I am not going to blindly swallow what I am being spoon fed by the MSM without some evidence and getting some answers to some tough questions. ALL I am getting now is conflicting accounts and allegations. That is not enough to claim another country...a government that has been helpful thus far....was in bed with Bin Ladin. I am not going to do it and neither should anyone else. IMO

Publicly, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton thanked Pakistan for its cooperation and said the country "has contributed greatly to our efforts to dismantle al-Qaida." She said that "in fact, cooperation with Pakistan helped lead us to bin Laden and the compound in which he was hiding."
John Brennan, White House counterterrorism adviser, said the administration was looking at whether bin Laden had a support system in Pakistan that allowed him to remain in the country.
"We know that the people at the compound there were working on his behalf, and that's how we ultimately found our way to that compound," Brennan told reporters at the White House. "We are talking with the Pakistanis on a regular basis now, and we're going to pursue all leads to find out exactly what type of support system and benefactors that bin Laden might have had."
Interviewed Tuesday morning on NBC's "Today" show, Brennan said that "clearly there was some kind of support network that provided him assistance."
"Whether or not those were individuals inside the Pakistani government is unknown at this point," he said. Brennan called Pakistan "a strong counterterrorism partner" and said there have been more terrorists arrested and killed there in recent years than in any other country. He said "brave Pakistanis have given their lives" in the effort.

The Us government refused to tell the Pakistanian government anything regarding there mission because they believe that the Pakistan's would have helped Bin Laden get away, like they did several years back. So the US refused to fill them in until the mission was accomplished, and all our troops and OBL Were out of Pakistanian air space. This has been stated SEVERAL times on CNN, as well as other media sources.

Pakistan has tipped OBL off before when they knew the US was closing in on him. Its also been stated that a courier was the one that tipped the US off. And also that there is a lot of arguing going on between the Pakistan's version of the CIA because some knew that OBL was there, and wanted to tell the US, but were threatened with their jobs if they did.

While the killing of Osama bin Laden is being enthusiastically celebrated throughout America and parts of the world, to say that such merriment is out of order will surely be considered heresy. Nonetheless, I'm saying it -- because it needs to be said. What I am tempted to say is this: Get a grip, celebrators. Have you so little decency?

I do understand how those who have suffered from the events of 9/11 may feel relieved, even happy, to have "closure" after 10 years of waiting for "justice to be done" -- and I don't quarrel with such feelings. Closure is a natural yearning and can certainly help people move on from serious trauma. And feelings are feelings. If you feel joyful, you feel joyful.

But celebration is not in order, no matter what your feelings of elation. Here's why...

Yep! That's what I've read.

I feel celebration is most definitely in order.

He's dead! Our brave troops did what needed to be done.
We live in the best country in the world.

Celebrate! We deserve it.

Festive crowds gathered to cheer his assassination.

One newspaper headline eulogy read, “Rot in Hell.” Televised chants echoed:
“U.S.A.! U.S.A!”

Americans spilled into the streets for spontaneous celebrations after news spread that Osama bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks, had been assassinated.

Yet another reaction took place in more sober moments as people of faith watched the giddy celebrations with a tangled mix of emotions.

Is it morally wrong to celebrate the assassination of bin Laden in such a festive, patriotic way?

I'm sorry...no offense intended to the Sleuthers here, you all do such great work, however, this is the attitude that makes the USA look bad in the eyes of the international community.

Here is a quote from one of your great countrymen.
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

No offense taken. I'm a proud, patriotic American and I have the right to celebrate this man's death.
For many years American Troops have fought for our rights.

The celebration in the streets was distasteful to me because it reminded me of similar street celebrations in the Gaza strip and elsewhere in the middle east where they chant things like 'down with the USA', burn our flag and such. Just seemed we could be glad that the man was taken out, but act in a more restrained manner.

Also, my cynical side wondered if these celebrations indeed erupted spontaneously or where, perhaps, helped along by shills from the Obama White House.

We just eliminated a man who murdered 3,000 of our citizens and countless others around the world. It will not get rid of terrorism but it is a big blow to Al-Queda. We have every right to celebrate. But oh no, what if the ~*international community*~ disapproves?! Are we going to get kicked out of the UN?

And the people who were celebrating after 9/11 were celebrating the murder of INNOCENT civilians. People are now celebrating the death of a mass murderer. There's a big difference so let's stop acting like they are equal.

US may release photos of bin Laden sea burial
'We want to make sure that not only the American people but the world understand exactly what happened'

WASHINGTON — The government may release photos of Osama bin Laden's burial at sea later on Tuesday but no final decision has been made, a U.S. official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Several of my Facebook friends posted a variation of the following quotation, allegedly from Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the great champion of civil rights.

Their posts said:

‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Dozens of people immediately "liked" this quotation on Facebook.

There's just one problem: The quote is a fake.

Fake quote.

This is MLK Jr.'s quote.
The rest was made up.
