The United States Government is preventing the delivery of fertilizers and oil to the global community. The consequence is food shortage, and increased cost of living.

Many ships carrying fertilizers also pass through the Strait of Hormuz. A shortage of these can affect crop yields and thus drive up food prices. According to the United Nations, poorer countries are particularly vulnerable."
