Trump has commented on the departure of US Navy Secretary John Phelan, saying "some people loved him, some people didn't".
Sources inside the US administration reported one of the reasons for Phelan's departure was the slow pace at which he implemented shipbuilding reforms, as well as a poor relationship with US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, but Trump said his conflict wasn't "necessarily" with Hegseth.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz says Israel is “prepared to resume the war against Iran”, adding that his country is awaiting a green light from the United States to return the country to “the Stone Age”.
“We are awaiting a green light from the United States – first and foremost to complete the elimination of the Khamenei dynasty … and additionally to return Iran to the Dark Age and the Stone Age by destroying key energy and electricity facilities and dismantling its national economic infrastructure,” he added.
When the attack resumes, “it will be different and lethal”, Katz also threatened.
French President Emmanuel Macron says he’s willing to host a conference on supporting Lebanon’s army and helping rebuild the country’s battered south.
Macron said after talks with his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, that the conference would take place when Lebanon considers it appropriate.
The conference would also aim to release additional European funding. Macron said he and Christodoulides support the idea of a European Union partnership agreement with Lebanon.
