If the US want to realistically guarantee that Iran will not create a nuclear bomb,
they must either negotiate an agreement with Tehran or
lead to the collapse of the Ayatollahs' power.

The latter would probably mean a conflict on a much larger scale
than bombing targeted at nuclear installations, no?

I suspect either satellite or boots on the ground intelligence would confirm any movement of materials, the strikes I'd venture back up it not being moved.

IMO, Our noses, and noses worldwide, would be in danger if Iran was allowed to have a nuclear bomb.

I see an increasingly erratic US with no coherent foreign policy as more of a danger to the world currently. Iran does not have a nuclear bomb and talks would have been better than strikes. The situation is now a lot more dangerous than it was just a couple of weeks ago.

Actually, the whole Middle East is a kind of a dangerous "powder keg", now.
As for Iran, it is already a fallen state with its aggressive ideology
without value to human life;
the state where religious fanatics are dragging the country into the dark ages,
while they are working maniacally on developing nuclear weapons.

Therefore, Iranian nuclear program is recognized by international community as a global threat.
In a beautiful idealistic world all disagreements should be resolved through different diplomatic treaties, agreements, negotiations etc. However, the real world is very far from the rosy dream of universal prosperity and peace.

Thus, often our leaders in charge, which are mostly men, resort to forceful measures to resolve conflicts. So, there are mainly two possible outcomes to me: if we are lucky-we'll live in a peaceful secure world, if not-we'll find ourselves in chaos.

It didn't *have* to be done. It was done because we wanted to flex our muscles. But even if they wanted to do to flex muscles, there's still a right and a wrong way to go about it. That's what bothers me more than the bombing itself. We have now grown accustomed to just shrugging off unConstitutional acts that put ALL of us in danger.

President Trump advised the leadership of both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives - the Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader of the Senate.

So only advising his administration of what can be perceived as an act of war? If he felt so righteous in his decision why not advise other members of his plan? There was a time when the Gang of Eight which was 8 individuals who were comprised of both parties who were privy to the machinations of the administration so that any aggressive action against a sovereign nation would not be perceived as a unilateral move by a rogue government. Attacking foreign nations with 30,000 pound bombs can be perceived as an act of war, whether approved by Congress or not.

On another note, why ignore his pick for head of DNI Tulsi Gabbard who said there was no intel that Iran was even close to have nuclear weapons. I'm getting a sense of deja vu here when George W. was advised there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, only to find out the intel was incorrect. A pointless war happened because Secretary of State Colin Powell was given faulty intel. Who's intel was Trump basing his decision on if not the head of the Department of National Intelligence?
