i wish there were more information on what railroad it was. I understand how they would not want to be identified, though. All the "excursion trains and passenger trains I've researched so far were privatly owned. Therefore I'm looking at the "hauling" service industry as being Union pacific?
There's intermodal trains that have regular stops between Las Vegas and Utah..and they happen to start in SoCal. Huh..whoda thunk it? lol In the link you'll be able to see the map of the US where the railroad goes. Also the working stations that they have today. This should narrow down the area the UID was before she got on the train. And narrow down the overpasses. Reason being to cross reference which stops have overpasses and which ones do not between california and vegas. If she just hid out for a few minutes while the train was stopped that could be the reason that no one found her when they checked the cars. JMHO

heres a link that describes the ride and route from Cali to LV someone documented it for us. (yay) including the Mph and distances between stops.
