I've combed through the missing and missing but not forgotten forums here for: CA, OR, WA, UT, NV, NM, AZ, TX, OK, NE, SD, ND, WY, Canada -- haven't found too many plausible matches (I've posted the worthwhile ones).

Drug use or bad hygiene doesn't cause crookedness. If she didn't wear a retainer when she was supposed to, some of the teeth might have slid back out of line, but that funky tooth on the bottom would be natural. Hard to say whether it's a baby tooth that didn't drop out and was pushed forward when her adult teeth came in, or an adult tooth that came in out of line. If you look at her full-face PM photo, you can see a gap where that tooth is.

I've seen the same sort of damage in heavy smokers and once in a while heavy coffee drinkers who don't brush, though it certainly looks meth-ish.

I was on LA when I left for court this morning. Boss was having a bench trial and I wanted to be there for that. I will pick up where I left off :)


The thing most striking to me is that the train arrived from Vegas to Milford at 2:30a. She would've been found at 5a. So I guess the train would've left from Vegas at 8p? I wonder if they're working with Vegas PD to check out train yard footage from around the time the train left. But then problem, also, is that there were SEVERAL tunnels on the way from Vegas to Milford -- sure she could've laid down around the catwalk area on the tanker, but...

Plenty of room up there. It's probably six feet long and the grids are at least a foot wide. It would also make her less visible and therefore less likely to be caught. Railroad security checks boxcars and such but probably didn't do any more than shine a flashlight up to the top of the tanker. Dressed in black clothing, she wouldn't have been very visible.

My best guess is that she didn't jump on, she grabbed the ladder and climbed up. That's quite easy to do if you're agile enough to run a few steps and jump.

And it was butt-freezing cold that night. It dropped from 76F to 34F just in las Vegas, someone said that it was 16F at the most that morning in Utah.
I think the hypothermia effect where people were taking their clothes off is highly plausible. And that she might have been wearing flip-flops and they flew off. I'd just sit on my coat if I were going to take it off though. You'd think that it'd be quite uncomfortable hearing that wind in your ears for so many hours. I hope they do a thorough search of the tracks..maybe she had ID in that coat pocket? jmho

Exactly, she was probably running in flip flops and kicked off her shoes to catch the passing tanker. I doubt they have the resources or time to search 6 1/2 hours worth of track that spans two states :(

Also, IMO, our train Jane looks like a Crystal, Amber or a Melissa.

Could we ask how dirty her feet were? And if they appear to have been without footwear. If her feet are clean, we know she had shoes on.

This was kind of what I was getting at about the straight teeth when AK was a kid and teeth of the UID now.

Maybe after years of abuse? Last seen in 2011 in FL... a drifter, short (in train jane's height/weight range).... the only thing I don't like is the hairline.

I think Amanda King bears a STRIKING resemblance to Train Jane. I will be surprised if it is not her.

This is O/T but I've been Googling "missing woman" and "drugs" (or "tattoo," etc.) to see if anyone comes up in my search that matches our UID but isn't in Namus or the usual places. I know a WSer recently helped solve a case in FL by finding a match mentioned on Topix.

I've found some decent physical matches but nothing good enough to mention here. BUT, I did come across another, totally unrelated missing persons case... in which the prime suspect is someone I graduated from high school with. ::eek::
